Hari Wanita

25th Aug 2007 was the official celebration of "Hari Wanita peringkat kebangsaan". It was held at Stadium Putra, Bkt. Jalil and was officially launched by M'sia's 5th Prime Minister, fondly known as Pak Lah. Accompanying him was his wife, Datin Seri Jeanne and the Minister of Women, Family & Community Development, Dato' Sri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil. It was an auspicious & wonderful celebration for women coming from all walks of life especially the "kampungs". I and 14 others were selected to represent Kumpulan Bank Pembangunan. Entering the stadium by invitation, each of us was given a coupon for goodies which consisted of food stuffs, roll-on deodorant, long-sleeve t-shirt, a flag, a clapper .... all stuffed into a handy bag. As if that wasn't enough to attract women of M'sia, we were entertained by famous M'sian artists such as M.Nasir, Amy Search, Koperatasa, Anita Sarawak, Khaty Ibrahim, Noryn Aziz & the most famous of all was Anuar Zain. Being a bachelor, most "makciks" took the opportunity to get on stage to hug, kiss & dance with him!!!! Indeed all their voices are powerful and i was enchanted by their strong vocals. There were 3 other commercial singers who sang the official Hari Wanita song & a malay version of the Celine Dion's I'm alive song. I searched for it in the net but couldn't find it. Emcee for the day was none other than the talented Aznil Hj Nawawi. A big round of applause must be given to the multimedia experts of the ministry for the very interesting laser launching. Although i was worried of the kids being left at home with their daddy, but i still managed to enjoy myself. I arrived home at 7pm and continued my duty as a wife & mother. .. This year's Hari Wanita slogan is ... WANITA NADI NEGARA.

Note: Hari Wanita was first celebrated in yr 2000 and it has been carrying slogans like 2000-Nur Bermula DenganMu, 2001-Nur Kesaksamaan Gender, 2002-Nur memupuk generasi berilmu, 2003-Nur bersama mengukir keunggulan, 2004-Nur memupuk kemakmuran ekonomi, 2005-Memupuk generasi Berkualiti, 2006- Kesaksamann gender rakyat sejahtera.

lukhman's office:Majlis Daerah Yong Peng
hey gals...
am now in lukhman's room.he set-up a hotspot in the house...canggih tak canggih huh!!..should advised him to open cyber cafe ler camni ek. so apa lagi..with the internet connected, i pun amik kesempatan posting to our blog ler.
twins just slept downstairs...they've been running around the house with their cousins since the day we arrived (friday nite). rafik is currently watching "Bourne Ultimate" sequence from "Bourne Identity"starring Matt Damon.the air was hot and it makes me sleepy addition to the delicious asam pedas ikan parang we had for lunch. we'll try to spot for the sweet yummy cendol again later today..yesterdy was a dissapointment coz the stall was closed. we usually favored for the roti kukus in KLuang railway station but we'll skip that one this time around.

rafik says we shall head to KL after asar...i'm ok with that but i like..ehm.. favor more for after maghrib. i m predicting heavy trafic along PLUS hiway...as we are ALL AWARE...people will be rushing back to KL continuing their normal life, schooling and working after 1 whole week of schl hols eh!...

oh yes..just an update, visited anis n nashwan at gleneagles last friday. hope nashwan has recovered now from the mild fever. and anis...hold-on there and be strong ..being a mom of 3 without ur hubby always around, heavy-duty eh but i believe u'll handle it well.

Discovery Learning Labs

As promised & am most obliged the story begins...........Last Friday, 24th Aug 07, Azalea, Zakhwan, Alisya, Faqiha & Hakimi had their first experience of doing experiments under the guidance of the Discovery Learning Labs. We heard of it sometime last year when Astro had a promotion for it but being concerned parents and also "not too rich" people, we decided to enrol them for a half-day camp at RM75 per child. For some esp my colleougues, it may be such a waste of money!! But for us, as parents, we only wanted our child to gain experience besides filling part of their school term holidays. I would say we sacrificed our RM for them. However, frm the feedback we got from the kids, it was a damn exciting & intriguing experince. They chatted non stop on the various experiments they did as well as did one at home too. As always, the kids asked abt Nafis & wondered why he didn't join them. We made them understand tht Nafis's parents had other things planned for him this time. Maybe the next time around, Nafis will get to join them too. We also hope that Najwa, Nadhiah & Nadhirah will also get their turn later. Not forgetting Alyana & Nashwan....

ps. Hakimi is Muiz's younger brother. He is in Std. 3. Luckily he joined in as he proved to be a good companion for Zakhwan.

I'll Always Be Right There

listen to the song..ponder the lyrics...and u'll know

I swear to you - I will always be there for you -
Theres nothin I wont do
I promise you - all my life I will live for you - we
Will make it through
Forever - we will be
Together - you and me
Oh n when I hold ya - nothin can compare
With all of my heart - ya know Ill always be - right
There
I believe in us - nothin else could ever mean so much
Youre the one I trust our time has come - were not two
People
Now - we are one - ya youre second to none
Forever - we will be
Together - a family
The more I get to know ya - nothin can compare
With all of my heart - ya know Ill always be - right

FamiliKu Sayang

Attended the usual "ceramah" at DBKL and today the speaker was Dato' Dr Hassan Ali, a motivator for families & children. So just like to share with you gals the info on the "Summer Camp" for children. When they are in Std 3 or 4, we should send our children for the camp to open up their mind as well as get pointers on the most effective way of studying. Pussy Cat... Where have u been...?

....I've been to London to see the queen.. (is it?) Oh no!!!....we went to London to watch the circus...yeap...it was the Royal London Circus at Puchong Utama. From the initial intention of going to Putrajaya to watch the fireworks, we ended up browsing a more interesting site for the children. Damn glad the kids enjoyed the show of opera-like singers, clown, acrobats, gymnastics, magic show, elephant, poodles, monkey, cats, chickens & pigeons including the most interesting of all the motorbike stuntshow. Luckily we took the VIP seats of RM85 per adult (2 child FOC per adult ticket) and sat abt 4-5 rows from the stage. It was an ad-hoc decision but we managed to purchase tickets for the 8.30pm show. Some of the kids did fell asleep by the end of the show but overall they enjoyed it as they were talking abt it over & over again the next day. Finally, we did experience an unprecedented level of entertainment. Those who have not been to see it are definitely encouraged to experience it with their own eyes. Thanks bby Alyana for not making a fuss of the blaring noise & colourful lightings.

ps. Having problem uploading pics!!

Auntie Sherry's Visit

On 19th August 2007, Auntie Sherry visited baby Nashwan. However, only Auntie Sherry, Alisya and Alyana came. Azalea was with Tok Mami and Bro Nazri was working. Auntie Sherry went home around 5.30pm after Nafis left the house with Nasa for his swimming lesson. Nasa snapped a few pictures before he sent Nafis to class. I'm inserting only one. Thank you for the gift Auntie Sherry.

Welcome to the world

Alhamdulillah today, 16 Aug 2007 at 9.25am, my sis in-law delivered a healthy baby girl by caesarian. All of us are indeed excited but we r sad to not be able to be there in Spore to catch her first look. I wondered & imagined how this baby will look like since Ee Ling is pure chinese and my bro can pass as a chinese guy himself. Even me who only have a glint of the chinese blood in me but all my girls came out with strong chinese features. Nway, my bro called and i shouted at him to e-mail me the pics and he managed to send one via mms. My parents wt Azlina & Saby will be flying over to Spore nxt weekend to visit them. What abt me?? How can I, Saby's fave Enda not go see her youngest niece????? Serious, so far i hv not made any plans to fly to Spore. Not sure wht's stopping me though.... Btw heard her name is gonna be something like... Shariffah Atyna Yu-Ling Al-Idid

What a great trip....

Hey dudettes...

I have finally overcame my tiredness frm the weekend trip to Kuantan and tonite i hv the time to blog our Kuantan trip. Thanks to Iju & Jija for making it possible. Would have been good if Anis could join us but then we all know she is going thru confinement after delivering handsome bby Nashwan. As Anis told me, she can only join us whn Nasa is back frm Myanmar. But am not sure if she meant back for good or juz anytime. So Anis do let us knw whn u're ready to join us for our cuti-cuti m'sia trips in the future. However so far we hv no plans yet as our plan to travel always comes abruptly & decision done on a too-quick basis.

I can still rber the taste of the crispy tender sotong and udang petai with two big scrumptious fishes. With Alyana sleeping on one arm, luckily hubby & Jija helped in filling up my plate wt loads of seafood. Of course Pik & Iju did a good job of eating up the 2 crispy fish heads. Kids were seen enjoying the baked cockles while twins picked on their rice wt crispy sotong although they were sleepy.

Am taking this opportunity to apologize on behalf of the mgmt of the Grand Continental hotel on the miscommunication over our room reservations!! Lucky though they had rooms available & we were upgraded to a bigger version of the family room. Next time if it is a 3-star hotel, i'll have to re-confirm on our reservation.

Finally, thanks to all concerned who have made the trip possible despite everyone's busy schedule...

lonely but not alone

been feelin' 'so' lately...a feelin' that needs deep thought n consideration. engaged with self-emotion and seeking for the right solutions and ways to overcome.
so..let's try to reveal what may lies behind it:
1. longing for love and attention
2. surrounded with people who hunger for your love but none from the one you hungered for
3. appreciation or even a tq...is it so hard to utter
4. u missed him, u love him, when he's not around but u just "zero-Feel" when he's right in front of ur eyes
5. u do things just to pleased him but does it really comes from the bottom of your heart?
6. it has always been about his wants...what about your want? does he care?
7. u desire to voice out all these to him..but u fear for negative acceptance..
8. hatred comes at times..but others become the victims...sad but true
9. he takes advantage over ur strength and independence (idea contributed by my mate) :)
10. slowly but surely ... u become a cold-hearted person
hmmm...that's all i can think of for now...feel free to add to the list frenzz.....i m feelin'...sleepy..zzzzz

THE NEWEST MEMBER OF MASK FAMILY

Today, 3rd August 2007, the newest member of MASK is officially named MUHAMMAD NASHWAN. It means 'kegembiraan'. Indeed, we are elated to have him as the latest addition in our family. I tried many times to upload his photos but to no avail. Will try again later.

la...la...la..la..la

..la.la..la..la......love is in the air....la..la..la..la

When you love someone, you’ll do anything
You’ll do all the crazy things that you can’t explain
You’ll shoot the moon, put out the sun
When you love someone

You’ll deny the truth, believe a lie
There’ll be times that you’ll believe, that you can really fly
But your lonely nights have just begun
When you love someone

When you love someone, you’ll feel it deep inside
And nothin’ else can ever change your mind
When you want someone, when you need someone
When you love someone

When you love someone, you’ll sacrifice
You’d give it everything you got and you won’t think twice
You’d risk it all, no matter what may come
When you love someone

You’ll shoot the moon, put out the sun
When you love someone

song: bryan adams
lyrics: When you love someone
