Majlis Tarannum Kanak-Kanak TBT

Terima kasih anak2 mama atas ucapan, kucupan, pelukan dan hadiah untuk Mama. Mama merasa amat terkejut dan terharu sewaktu anak2 menghadiahkan Kad Hari Mama beserta sebuah novel dan kotak simpanan barang kemas pada Mama. Hadiah-hadiah ni anak2 belikan dengan pertolongan Abah semestinya. Terima kasih Abah, kerana turut menghargai diri ini sebagai mama kepada anak2mu.

Anak2, maafkan Mama andai anak2 tersinggung dan berjauh hati dengan leteran dan jeritan mama selama ini pada anak2. its coloring time

nadhirah aka adik was selected to represent her kindergarden i.e. Tadika Riang in the Yamaha Music Coloring contest on 26Apr09.tho nadiah was not, but she was very supportive (surprise jugak coz they always do things together). it was held in front of yamaha music school in Pandan Mewah. she competed in group C for the 5 yrs kids.
we were required to bring own colors n stuff n so we had to borrow abang's color pencil coz her's dah jadik belacan! about 30 kids participated and most of them brought all the sophisticated coloring tools. (*yang tak pernah tgk pun ada, dlm hati, alamak takda can la nak menang!)
she was calm all the way n finished coloring in time. i wanted to go home right after she finished coz i felt that there's no way she can beat the other kids. But pik said lets just stay and see who's the winner. wallah..to our surprise the emcee announced nadhirah won 2nd place. hahahha...terkezut den!
anyway..good job nadhirah!!! * nadiah tak jeles langsung and siap teman adik amik hadiah lagi.. :D

my coll recommended this place.
checked out the website and looked interesting esp when i saw there's kids corner. perfect for adults n kids. the setup was cool.
each stall selling their special dishes. u'll b given a ticket once u register at the front counter. one stamp for one menu ordered.
there were grill stall, pasta, juices, soups, pizza, etc...melilau mata anak2 n main order tak hengat dunia!!!
food was delicious esp the pizza..z had to order twice ;) (sedap sgt la tuh)

so gals..lets have MASK dinner here. cool!

Sirah Junjungan - Tahajud Cinta

We(me, anis, pik n nasa) watched the theatre on 22 Mar 2009. Yes, we (just me n pik...anis prefered siti :)) wanted to see Amy's appearance and not jamal or siti or mawi.. so to witness his powerful voices and damn..he was gooD!
the theatre was great too.sayang plak tak bwk anak2 bersama. byk kali jugakla airmata ni mengalir..mmg syahdula..n the best part, towards the end, we were asked to stand up n berselawat.
bravo to erma fatima n the team. i rated it as 5 stars!
so to those who missed it this year, pray that it will b shown again next year!

Almost didn't made it.....

Yeapp...almost NOT made it for last check-in to KK at 6.20pm! Bus only left KL Sentral at 5.20pm. SMS & called Jija several times trying to get Jija who was already at LCCT to check us all in. Jija's 1st trial of checking all of us in was not fruitful as they wanted US to be there with our ICs!!! Just as it was fated for us to go, Abg Ajiz who happened to be hanging around wt his dear sister bumped into an old friend who was a senior officer of Airasia. So he managed to check us all in thru the backdoor but our luggages was still not there. Merely 5 mins before the counter closed, we arrived LCCT & Jija was there in front of the bus helping us to retrieve our luggages to be scanned & brought to the counter manned by a sour-faced mamat. TQ abg Ajiz & Jija........else i wouldn't know how to explain to the overly excited children why we couldn't go.

Nway, although we checked ourselves in on-time but the filght was not on time!! It was delayed again to 8.25pm.

Taxi to the Promenade apt was easy & took a short while. Again we were startled by the creepy looking corridor leading us to our rooms 2512 & 2513 of Block 5, Api-Api Centre. But inside it was a very soothing & welcoming ambience. So dinner was just mamak's fried rice of RM6 a packet. Since the children slept in d plane so everybody was still awake at 1am. Darling Jija came in my room with a cute little gift confidently wishing me Eppy Bday!!! I could only smile as she didn't believe it wasn't d day yet...uhhuu....

The flight delay had utterly changed our initial iteanary of going to the wet market the nite before. In fact we didn't even made it for our 9.20am pick-up to visit the Mari Mari Cultural Village. Luckily tho, they allowed us to defer the time to 2.20pm. So after breakfast, to the wet market we went. Children were astonished by the big fishes being sold with many many sizes of prawns & squids including giant-sized cockles. We stopped by the Philipino market for some souveniers for the children, to the frozen seafood mart & stalls selling dried seafoods. Then we took the taxi back to the apt & our cooking & lunch rendevous started till just in time to prepare ourselves for the pick-up.

The Mari-Mari Cultural Village, not commonly known by the locals proved to be very entertaining & knowledgable. We savoured the soul of Sabah as we entered the different homes of the etcnicities of Sabah. What's more with the TV3 troop making their coverage and Aidid Marcello as the host, we made ourselves famous for 3 hours. By the time we had our hi-tea, everybody was tired & looking forward to going back to the apt. In the van, ard 7pm, everyone vowed that we can't put in any dinner for that day!!!

However, at 9pm, adik called from next door asking for dinner...........so everyone sat eating whtever food that was left behind earlier. Jija was busy surfing the cyberspace & she got adik to bring her a platter of seafood....

Our last day was spent packing up & a short walk outside to catch a glimpse of the waterfront which wasn't a good idea.................uwwwaaa.......

MASK @ Melaka (28~29 March '09)

Alhamdulillah the Fantastic Four aka MASK + family overnite trip to Melaka was a fulfilling & blessed one. This time our trip was completed ( as in...u complete me) by the attendance of the Ampang loving couple (Amri~Fiza) who celebrated Fiza's 32nd bday. Our wishes of longevity love, health & wealth goes to her...amin. We were happy to be pampered with pieces of Secret Recipe cakes + tit bits from the loving couple, even tho we were blocks apart. Our trip was also completed by the presence of Pakcik & Makcik Abdullah who was just distance away from us, in Kmpg Pernu.

With Melaka comes IKAN BAKAR & we hearthily filled our tummies with jenahaks, belanak (bro aje!), pari (1/2 returned), cuttlefish, prawns, mixed vege, nasi lemak, jars of sugar cane & lime syrup at Umbai. Thanks once again to the loving couple & to the employee of SME Bank for topping up half of the ridiculous bill...RM350.0 (Congrats SME Bank for a well-deserved salary adjustment).


From Umbai, we drove back to Banda Hilir, drivin thru long-winded one way routes looking for the Melaka River Cruise jetty. Sailing thru the 9km river for 45 minutes, the boat trip proved worth the fee of Rm10 per adult & RM5 per child above 2 yrs of age, especially for Iju & Jija who also had the chance to taste the water...yucks!

With Melaka too comes ROTI CANAI BAKAR which the gents & boys had their breakfast at the stall itself while women & girls ate it at the apartment. Being considerate people, we didn't want to trouble the pakcik with our large crowd!! Again TQ to the loving couple for allowing some of our children to accompany them for breakfast at the hotel and then brought them straight to the pool. The rest of us joined in later & the water was indeed cooling enough for our bodies.


With Melaka also comes its ASAM PEDAS. Since the claypot asam pedas rest was closed, we stuck to our initial iteanary & drove to Bukit Katil, lead by Rafik. It was a truly satisfying lunch at a considerable price of RM117.0 We started off with rice, followed by the must-try cekodok pisang (RM2), cucur udang (2 biji), kuih keria (4 ketul) & tapai pulut; all cicah with asam pedas.


We were lucky to have a professional photographer with us...Nasa, who willingly took pictures whenever he could. Still we hope the pictures will be develop for us to look at in due time...


Just as i enjoyed writing this blog while munching Iju's kerepek (TQ matey), hope everyone else enjoyed themselves in Melaka.

You Must LoVe Yourself FIRST

“Your relationship with yourself is the central template from which all others are formed. Loving yourself is a prerequisite to creating a successful and authentic union with another.”

And that was exactly what we did, to rejuvenate and recharge ourselves … in the hope that we submerge to be better wives, friends, mothers, daughters and individuals. To renew ourselves, we got together and nurtured our physical and emotional cravings.
First on the itinerary was vigorous lapse in the pool which in the end turned out to splish-sploshing in the water while updating each other on our past to current condition/situation.
Cher had made reservations at Halia @ Sime Cnvention Center. Iju and I couldn’t wait to dig our faces into all the dishes. We were starving! Could have probably eaten almost anything displayed on the table.. but we reserved our manners. The food…wah..it was an explosion of flavours. The main meal was stupendously tasty. Good job Cher! I’ve been having a hankering for capsicums for a while now.. and it was fulfilled. The salad was ordinary..but I made sure I piled the plate with juicy watery capsicums. We tasted almost everything… salads with an array of dressings, grapes in chocolate fondue, intriguing looking “kuehs” yet yummy to the taste buds..and many more… too many to mention (go check out the menu la). We were content! It was money well spent.
Back to Cher’s for a more relaxed atmosphere – watched DVD, chatted, planned, strategized (hehehe)..but mainly just chilled!
All of us sadly departed, and returned to our “pijak di bumi yang nyata” lives, around 6p.m. A day worth spent..coz it was spent with ‘family’ (but missing one member..Pn Awanis kita). Hope to have many more rejuvenating moments..hopefully with all m.a.s.k. members presence. Woohoo!

My Son ..Khatam n Khatan daaa

finally....on 29 Nov 2008, Zakhwan selamat khatam Quran n dikhatankan.
The preparation for the majlis ala2 mcm nak buat majlis kahwen. serabut kepala otak ni pikir from the food menu rite up to khemah n list of invitees. syukur alhamdulillah, majlis went smoothly and we Thank You all our guests yg meraikan majlis kami.
sharing some of the photos yg sempat dirakamkan. terkilan jugak byk gbr tak smpt diambil ngan guests yg dtg, maklumla..mak pengantin kan..mustila sebok!...hahahha...apa2pun my son dah jadik anak teruna dah. ;) alhamdulillah. skrg masih dlm proses berpantang n healing proses. mengalahkan org bersalin plak mamt sorang ni. ngada lebeh daaa....mama loves u abang!

MASK Buka Puasa

MASK and family were able to break fast together on 27th September at the Bukit Jalil Golf and Country Resort (BJGCR). Fortunately, Nasa was able to make it too. He had just arrived from Myanmar and we went straight to BJGCR. We arrived just after the call for Maghrib prayers.

The food was great and filling. I was looking forward to eat the ox tongue but it was a bit salty so I couldn't eat much. As usual, we enjoyed each other's company. The kids were so happy running all over the place and going in and out of the 7-E as if it belongs to them. Hehe...

Before saying goodbye, we had a group photo taken in front of the reception counter. Didn't take any photos in the restaurant before that because everybody was too busy savouring the food. After posing for the group photo, MASK were busy exchanging raya cookies (cornflakes and choc chip) and money. We departed with a full stomach and fond memories of our gathering.

SELAMAT HARI RAYA

Today is the 22nd day of Ramadhan. That means we have another 8 days before Hari Raya. I believe that most of your Hari Raya preparation is already completed. As for me, I still have a few items to buy but waiting for Nasa to come home.

On behalf of my beloved family, we would like to wish M*SK and family, "Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri" and "Maaf Zahir Batin". Don't forget to come to my house during raya. For those who are going to 'balik kampung', please drive carefully. Semoga selamat sampai ke destinasi.

A DreaM CoMe TruE

finally, i get to witnessed Gunung Kinabalu with my bare-naked eyes. been dreaming to be here since i was single. it was a 3D/2N trip with my family and both parents. was an exciting trip for all of us (hey...suddenly baru realized 3 generasi yg pegi ke sini..ahaks..the parents, the daughter-son and the grandchildrns ;)). we spent the 1st nite at Kinabalu Pine Resort. the place was great esp the scenery. mmg mengkagumkan with d smell of fresh flowers when u open the hotel room in d morning.n Masyallah..we get to capture the pic of 2 rainbows appeared on the sky after a drizzled rain that afternoon..canteknyeeeeeeee. we captured some pics at the Kinabalu park, the starting point for those yg nak mendaki gunung. terkilan jugak tak dpt pegi hotspring due to the limited timing.
as for makan, quite difficult to locate seafood stalls yg halal.so on the 2nd day when we were in KK town, we bought prawns n masak sendiri at the Marina Aprtmnt. a spacious and cozy apt i must say n the price is cheap too.located near the sea so just imagine angin laut yg menghembus kuat, mmg buleh buat u terbang! Our shoppin spree was at the Phlipines market..haaa kat sini is where u nak carik pelbagai jenis mutiara. yg dah jadik rantai, cincin, gelang, brooch n segala macam lagi, semua nye ADA!. good bargain lagi!

KK 26-28/7/08

Happy Birthday Nashwan & Najwa

First of all, happy fasting to everyone. Today is the 3rd day of fasting. This is also a delayed entry. Happy reading.

Nashwan turned 1 year old on 30th July 2008. Thought of celebrating his birthday among family on that day but unfortunately, he was not well. He had quite a high fever with a few mouth ulcers on his throat. It was quite bad. He couldn't drink his milk because it was painful to swallow. I took him to the clinic and the doc told me if the ulcers did not disappear in the next 1 or 2 days, Nashwan had to be admitted and put on drip. At home, Nashwan couldn't drink his milk because of the pain. He cried when he tried to swallow and I felt so sad watching him like that. I know that he was hungry but he wasn't able to swallow his milk. Finally, at 1 a.m. I took him to Ampang Puteri because I couldn't stand seeing him in that condition. The doctor gave me a medication that can help numb his throat so that he wouldn't feel any pain when swallowing. Alhamdulillah, at last, he was able to drink his milk. He gradually became better and at last, we were able to celebrate his birthday on 1st August. HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY NASHWAN!

We celebrated Najwa's birthday on 7th August 2008. She is 3 years old this year. HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY NAJWA! My little princess is getting chubbier day by day. My darling children celebrated their birthdays without their father around. Sob sob... Thought of having a birthday party for both of them but couldn't find a suitable date. Maybe next year.

HSM - the ice tour

On the 20th Aug brought Azalea & Alisya for the HSM ice tour show. Not sure if it was me who wanted to watch it so much or was a treat for my daughters but one thing for sure i was retarded aka enjoyed watching it.
