First time cuba masak masakan Thai. Ini mmg favorite order kalau makan kedai masa zaman awal-awal kahwin. Dan selepas 13 tahun kahwin (pls note...13 tahun..hahhaha) baru ler teringin nak masak sendiri. and wallah...thanks to Potret kAsih sekali lagi, aku berjaya buat Set Masakan Thai i.e. Tomyam Campur, Telur Dadar and Udang Goreng Tepung.

Berbunga hati bila anak-anak makan dengan semangat.

And sebab lauk lunch tak dpt nak bawak sampai ke malam (abis daaa...) so dengan malasnya aku buat pizza segera for dinner. tumiskan bwg putih, bwg merah and masukkan daging kisar Ramly, campakkan serbuk lada hitam, serbuk cili, serbuk lada sulah, oregano, sedkt garam n gula dan itu jadik topping pizza ku. Roti pita carrefour yang masih ada, sapukan margerin, sapukan tomato paste, taburkan topping, cendawan and serikan dengan cheese

PDB Central Region held their Family Day at Corus Paradise PD on 19-20/2 2011. It's like a holiday get away for me, resting n relaxing after a hectic week preparation for lukhman's wedding.

we reached the hotel at 230pm. the room was not that spacious but the bed was quite big.

AT 530pm, we were called to joint the Beach Game. The first game was the giant shoe for adult...n guess what, our team won..huahuahua.... baru warm up tapi dah menang.ngeh3x.

next abang n nurin participated....cant remember the name of the game. nurin won 1st n abg won 3rd...kumpul hadiah lagi. hahhaha...game ended at 7pm...and so we rushed to get ready for the retro nite theme dinner.

best jugek malam2 makan tepi pantai. food was good too. as usual lucky draw was the finale of the dinner. n malam tu kami tak bertuah. so tgk jela org2 bertuah amik hadiah :)

Pik played golf early sunday morning, so me had to bring the kids to the pool. me mingled with the petronas staffs' wives yang senasib i.e. ditinggalkan suami2 yg main golf. they were friendly and yeah...lotsa story shared n me learnt lotsa thing from them too.. apa yg dipelajari tu..hrmm...xleh la share kat sini. huahuahua..

we left the hotel at 3pm.. kids slept all the way till we reached home. penat main kat pool.

All in all... we had fun!

Usha Sushi...

Fulfilling nurin's wish to eat at Sushi restaurant so we had dinner at SaKae Sushi, Leisure Mall last Sat. Initially, we planned to go to Sushi King KLCC, but upon reaching MR2, seeing bad traffic, we routed to Leisure Mall.

I was quite surprised that the twins were all excited to eat sushi. heheh.. i guess its not so much for the food to them but more to having the experience to use the chopstick and jadik rambang mata looking at the fancy colored food.
Rafik dah biasa sgt la ngan japanese food ni, almaklumla sejak jadik members Kajang Hill Golf Club kan. Owner nye jepun, so etime ada tournament, food served at the club either chinese course or japanese course. So, we leave the menu selection to him. There were sushi, tempura, bento and green tea on the table. Oh yes..watch out for wasabe.. huh..berangin panas smpi ke idung, n terkeluar2 airmato den..so my cup was refilled with cold green tea more than 4 times gitu. ahah!

note: From my observation, Nurin does not fear to try varieties of food unlike Abang who is very much the kampung boy type. Abang prefers nasi ,,skema betul anak teruna sorang ni. tapi takpala..asalkan dia makan. n tak susah nak layan perut dia.

Hrmm..mahal gak makanan jepun ni ek... so, will not be a regular place for us to visit ;)

twins d hari orientasi

Abang std 6, Kakak std 5 and si kembar std 1.

An end to pre-school,,,yay!. so, baju2 pre-school dah selamat disedekahkan. Tak perlu nak simpan lagi sbb dah takda yang akan masuk pre-school. I did the list of things to do/buy since Nov '10 lagi and dah mula main kutu dr awal tahun. bajet sorang anak rm1K...well mama hanya top up mana yg tak cukup. major portion of coz dr abah la. hahhaha

bukan mudah dan senang nak sediakan sekali 4 budak punye persiapan sekolah. dr baju, buku,kasut, stokin, yuran sekolah, stationeries, tranportation smpi la ke purse n mangga loker pun nak kene senaraikan. (erk.. kene tambah jugak pencarian guru tusen n their fees, now that abang taking upsr ths year).. huh... mmg bertambah uban kat kepala ni pikir. kepala otak ni jugak yg berputar mcmana nak plan pukul brp nak bangun pagi, cara paling efektif nak kejut and siapkan anak2 esp si kembar tu, tmasuk jugakla diri sendiri yg kene bersiap ke ofs. almaklumla.. kita ni jugakla yg kene panaskan enjin kete n drv them to school. ( so,,,tambah tugas jadik time keeper sbb nak kene pastikan 650am.. dah klua dr rumah)

abang n kakak, alhamdulillah dah boleh manage diri sendiri. tak perlu la mama nak kene jengok sekali sekala dlm bilik air to make sure air dr shower tu hala jek ke badan tapi mata masih tertutup and badan tak bersabun. i had to force the twins to sleep at 930pm for the 1st day of school (la ni pukul 830pm, dah panjat katil n tido..mereka saangt letih).

550am kakak the first to shower followed by twins n lastly abang. Abang kita bagi chance kejut paling lambat sbb me foreseeing abang yg akan tido paling lmbt utk siapkan hwork nnt (n my instict was rite *wink)

and so.. for the first 2 weeks, mama kene ikut jalan gate belakang. expecting parents yg ada anak tahun 1 akan merasa ghairah pada awal2 tahun utk htr anak smpi ke dataran sekolah ( and most of them akan guna main entrance sbb its a shorter-distance walking to school area). so... ramai yg akan park kat tepi2 jalan sekolah which...eventually akan menambahkan sesak jalan yg dah mmg tersedia sesak. (*mama has to be on time jugak ke ofs ye..)

pity si kembar sbb sblm2 ni, abg n kkk dpt keistimewaan diturunkan dan dihtr via gate depan. i cant afford to do that sbb abg n kakak bila dah senior ni,,, dah demand utk smpi awal ke sekolah. 730pm turun kete utk masuk sek is no longer acceptable for them. *sigh.

so nadiahnadhirah, pagi2 lagi dah berpeluh leher (ketiak tak sure plak..tak check..hahah) sbb nak kene jln naik bukit ke sekolah. setakat ni tak smpi hati lagi nak just drop them and go. so i had to find a good parking n walk together with them while carrying their bags ( mama kene cukup berstamina utk mengangkat 2 beg smbl mendaki bukit.. i need to keep fit , people!!!..huahuahuah...). this year jugak, we managed to get a van to pick up the kids from school. kalau sblm2 ni..abg n kakak together wth najwanaim akan diambil oleh mama or aunty nina.. but for the twins, a non-relative aka abg kassim yg amik derang. sad..but guess these are the things that mums just have to shut their eyes n pray hard the childrens are in good hands. "Ya Allah, peliharalah dan lindungilah anak-anak ini dan jauhilah mereka dr kejahatan manusia dan syaitan, amin amin Ya Rabbal alamin".

malam... it is either sending-fetching abang for tuition class or sit wth the kids to make sure they do their hwork (sit tu tak bermakna dok sebelah n tolong..hahha.. hanya duduk ..tgk n kdg2 tertutup mata sbb ngantok. kah3x). lepas sumer siap, tuck 'em to bed n setakat ni mama lah yg kene siapkan buku2 twins ikut jadual. derang msh terkial2 lagi n mama blm cukup konfiden to let them do it on their own.

and so..thats the routine so far. weekend mmg kene spare time utk lelapkan mata di siang hari dan merehat2kan badan. (kene mula cari supplemen to stay energetic nih!!)

Lepak DP Pool

We sealed 2010 with a gathering at DP pool. no outing trip this year. we couldnt fix a suitable dates for everyone. and so we ended up having pot luck and leypaque2 kat PD pool. whenever there r kids involved, water is of essence..hihihih

Jija and kids were the first one to arrive and first to go too. tho it was a short meet-up but as always..we treasure every moments together.

thank you girls.. we are still good till 2010 and i hope it will remain the same for more years to come.

Dec 2010 - Trips and Treats

Its trips n treats time in Dec 2010.

24-26 Dec 2010. Christmas in PD. Pak Lah anak beranak bercuti d Permaisuri Resort PD. Everybody was there except for Amree n wife. A treat for the kids actually. We celebrated the PMR achievers, school leaver and the pre-school graduates ;) There were lotsa foods, indoor games, outdoor games, get wet at the pool n the beach. Good job to us all !!

5- 8 Dec 2010, we went to Medan. Rafik treat us all for this trip. Us family, ayah mak plus Siti. ahah!.. yeap..we had our maid with us. kinda token for her year-end. Medan was an exhaustive journey i must say. shopping in Medan..nah..tak sesuweii.. but yes..we enjoyed the scenery and sights tho. Lake toba, its small islands, also the famous Piso piso waterfall. but i must tell you, u require lots of patience having to sit in the van for 3-4 hours drive to these places. whatmore with the bad road condition. felt as if we're in a roller-coaster. however, we thanked our skillful driver. he's damn good manoeuvering the van. We spent one nite in Lake Toba and 2 nites in Medan.

I was glad that i got the chance to meet Maya, my UPM ex-coursemate. its been more than 10 years. she came wth her family to our hotel. we had a quick dinner wth them and thanks a lot Maya for the souvenir and time spent.

Hrmmm..this one. well, she's the one in the family who's always be associated with this boils thingy. she had it on her thigh, on her backside and this time on her lower eyelid. at first we thot it was just ketumbit and will go away in a few days. but..nah....it got bigger. and yes, we know we had to go to the eye specialist for her case this time around.

It started with a small bug bite and he just lurveeee scratching it, especially after a sweaty football game almost every evening near his Kafa school. And so.. it got worsened and doc discovered a big boil growing inside. no choice Abang, doc had to cut it open and get rid of the bad guy!

Nadiah warded at Hospital Pantai, Pandan Indah due to prolonged fever. Lucky it was just viral infection and not other dangerous diseases. It was a 3D/2N stay with mama. Pity Nadiah, she came in with red spots on her arms, thighs and tummy. she was so dehydrated.

we celebrated Mummie's bday at Tarbush, Ampang Point. Anis can't make it due to other commitments. Am not sure if we have any pictures taken at this time. (sori ja..)

31May 2010 - Awanis Lukman aka Anis at 38.

Anis chose for Chili's. Who would wanna miss this one eh! Beat the traffic after office to Damansara,.... and we went home with full tummy!

5Apr 2010 - Sh.Noraziah Al Idid Syed Sidi Idid aka Sherry at 38.

Sherry chose for Tony Romas. She craved for the fried mushrooms actually..who wouldn't. ;)

Me: 'entahla.. ada roti jek kat dapur, g mamak jom!' *grinning

Rafik: 'ala..asek mamak jek. U buat la apa2 yang patut, asal bleh makan'

Me: 'ye ler..'

So..when i got into the kitchen, I took the bread, eggs, garlic, onions, pepper and salt. And here's what i've made.

Garlic Toast...tried to make like the one we ate at The Ship.

Roti Telur Bakar Alaf Baru ... got the recipe from a friend's email.

Tahun ni, teruja nak buat cookies raya sdiri. so dgn bantuan resepi dr sherry and kesudian kak fiza utk sama2 membantu (sumbangan tenaga dan juga oven yg besar) kami berjaya membuat crunchy cornflakes. sebelum2 ni, kami biasa order dgn sherry jek, tau bayar n makan aje. so thn ni, kita experienced sdiri perit jerih sherry menguli, menggentel, membakar dan menyusun cookies dlm balang. hehhee... mmg seronok bila cookies menjadik! cookies ni mmg simple bangat dan sdp.sungguh rangup dikunyah ...n yes, mmg takda dlm kepala otak nak mencuba resepi cookies yang susah2 n leceh. bukan apa, tak sanggup nak hadapi situasi lepas cookies siap, rasa ke laut! hahah... frust oooo kalau mcm tu

so...m sharing here some of the pics taken by our assistant cik ameerah kita. in total we made 6 adunan, so dpatla dlm 600 biji. dpt la bagi org lain merasa. ops..resepi takleh share ..itu kene tanya tunapunye cookies i.e Pn Shariffah Noraziah ye.:)

salam 2 Ramadhan

Alhamdulillah...harini dah masuk hari ke-2 umat Islam mengerjakan ibadah puasa di bulan ramadhan yang mulia ini.

Tahun ni anak2 kita dah 4 orang yang berpuasa. Si kembar dah mula kita jinak2kan dengan berpuasa dan alhamdulillah semlm mereka berdua dpt menghabiskan 1 hari ibadah puasa, wpun ptg smlm dah mula merengek minta untuk berbuka. si adik (nadhirah) merengek mintak air dan si kakak (nadiah) tak abis2 menggosok2 perut yang leper tu. naluri ibu ni mmg betul2 tersentuh tapi terpaksa kuatkan diri sbb nak melatih anak2 berpuasa. kalau tak tegas nnt susah pulak bila mereka dah besar nanti. Kakak dan Abang mmg takda masalah langsung la...tapi seperti biasa, Abang ni cepat pening berbanding Kakak. Kalau berbuka tu, Abang mesti nak nasi dan Kakak pulak kalau dapat air sebotol pun dah cukup kenyang bagi dia.
Kita rasa semua ibubapa akan berikan apa sahaja keinginan berbuka anak2 mereka dalam bulan Ramadhan ni kan. Setakat hari ni, belom ada lagi permintaan anak2 tapi rasanya kita dah kene bersedia ngan bahan2 masakan untuk makanan kegemaran anak2. mungkin hujung minggu ni la baru nak buatkan makanan kegemaran derang. heheh..nasib baik mudah dan tak leceh nak dibuat. Abang tu mmg suka sangat makan roti john. lepas makan nasi , memang roti john la dia akan hadap sorang. Kakak pulak..kek batik. bila tengok harga kek batik septong yang dijual kat bazar ramadhan, aduhla..mmg lebih jimat kalau buat sendiri. blh makan berkali2 dan rasa pun sedap. tapi ni semua kene tunggu hujung minggu la. kalau nak harap kita masak lepas balik ofis tu...ermmm....mmg tak sempat la.

oh ya...sebelom bulan puasa menjelang, kami MASK buat perjumpaan d PappaRich @ D Curve. selain dari makan2, kami jugak celebrate tamatnye 2nd semester kami belajar Kutaq d UiA. i'allah, kami semua lulus untuk sem baru Oktober nnt. alhamdulillah...tahniah dan syabas MASK!!! atas kejayaan kita. semoga kita akan terus disuntik dengan semangat yang kuat dan tabah meredah trafik untuk ke kelas Kutaq setiap rabu jam 8 malam next sem ye. :)

akhir kata.. selamat menyambut ramadhan al-mubarak kawan2. semoga amalan kita di bulan yang mulia ini akan diterima Allah dan semoga kita dapat bertemu malam yang penuh barakah di bulan mulia ini iaitu malam lailatul qadar.. i'allah!

transformasi

sana sini org ckp pasal transformation. kat kedai kopi, kat pejabat, kat suratkhabar, kat tv dan mcm2 tempat lagi lah!

jadik, tercetusla idea nak transform jugak la. tapi bukan transform diri.. tapi transformkan ruang bilik tidur utama yang rasa2nya, tak pernah dibuat sebarang transformation, walaupun dah hampir 8 tahun menghuni rumah sewa yang kita sewa sebelah rumah mak ni. lagipun, tak lama lagi nak raya , jadik buat sekali jalan la. dan yang lebih terdorong nak transform bilik ni sebabnya adalah kerana perabot i.e. katil dan meja solek masa zaman pengantin dah makin tua dah tak mampu lagi nak berdiri dengan teguh. belom tambah lagi dengan bekas2 contengan kaler pensil la, kaler magik la yang dikreatifkan oleh anak2 diatasnya. oh ya, plus keinginan kita nak transform ni jugak disokong oleh teman sebilik dan sekatil :) tu yang menjadikan cita2 transformation ni menjadik kenyataan. kalau tak, harus tunggu lagi 20-30 tahun baru boleh transform. hihihi

we start of dengan mengemas dan membersihkan ruang bilik (dengan membuang segala harta karun yang ada didalamnya). not an easy job rupanye. makan hari jugakla buat mende tu. maklumla... tenaga pun dah bukan mcm dolu2, jadik agak slow la dan masa yang diambil pun agak lama. oh ya, kerja2 pengemasan ni, kita n anak2 yang buat sementara rafik pegi membeli dan memilih cat pilihan. mcm biasa, kitaorg suka beli cat jotun sbb catnya tak berbau, harga berpatutan n kedainya pun dekat ngan rumah aje. sebelum tu puas jugak la kami mintak bantuan uncle google utk tgk kaler2 yang sesuai utk bilik tidur. yang pasti, kita nak ada feature wall.

so, by the time rafik balik ngan cat hijau tua (as feature wall) and pastel green for the rest of the walls, bilik tidur tu kita dah siap bentangkan ngan suratkhabar (dgn harapan takdala cat menjejes2 serata rumah...kununnye). kenapa hijau... hrmm...supaya hati jadik tenang dan rileks aje bila tgk kehijauan bilik. maklumla...balik dr ofs, hati slalunye panas ngan trafik dan keje2 ofs yang selalu berserabut dalam kepala otak.

kerja2 mengecat ni amik masa 2 hari (mula sabtu pagi smpila tengah malam ahad). walaupun anak2 menolong tapi paham2 jekla, derang tolong dlm 20minit jek, pastu dah hilang. kemana lagi kalau bukan mengadap tv kan. Abah jekla yang setia menyiapkan the whole room. oh ye, pintu bilik pun kami catkan dengan warna krim.

Alhamdulillah setelah 2 hari berhempas pulas dgn kita ni memendam perasaan sbb tgk bilik berselerak dan berserabut., akhirnya siap jugak bilik kami. Huh!! memang rasa puas hati sangat la ngan hasil titik peluh sendiri. penat pun lupa bila dah tengok bilik nampak kemas dan berwarna...hihihi (sblm ni bilik tu takda warna..)

so next, kami nak kene reckee pulak katil dan meja solek yang sesuai utk bilik. perabot pun nak yang simple2 aje dan kene carik meja komputer yang comel utk letakkan baby Mac ni. oh ye, bahan2 bacaan yang dalam color box lama tu pun dah mcm menjerit2 mintak diletakkan dalam tempat yang lebih selesa. ok ok...bookcase kene carik jugak. hey...lantai ni takkan tak beralas dan takkanla nak pakai langsir lama bila raya menjelang nanti kan. hrmmmm...$$$$$$ dah mula menyerang kepala otak. ...panas panas!!!

Inspired by a blogger (potretkasih.com), m sharing some of my simple dish recipes, that's easy to prepare n delicious..(to my kids standard lah ;) ).

Roti Telur Berkeju for breakfast

Bahan2:

Roti gardenia

Telur

Cheese

Bwg Besar n Bwg putih dihiris halus

Cara membuat:

pecahkan telur dalam mangkuk, pukul hingga rata

masukkan bebwg

celupkan roti kedalam mangkuk telur

gorengkan dalam kuali panas (dengan sedikit minyak)

letakkan cheese diatas roti yang telah dibalik2 kan

sedia utk dihidang :)

and Sambal Tempe Goreng Dengan Kacang Panjang.

Bahan2:

Tempe

Kacang Panjang

Kentang

Bwg besar dan bwk putih dihiris halus

Cili mesin

Cara membuat:

Kacang panjang dipotong

Kentang dihiris halus (gorengkan kentand dan letak tepi)

Tempe dipotong dadu (gorengkan tempe dan letak tepi)

Tumiskan cili mesin bersama bwg

Masukkan gula, garam secukup rasa

Masukkan kacang panjang, tempe, kentang dan digaul rata

Msukkan sedikit gula merah

Sedia utk dihidang.

yay! me made it to Spore via car!.fuh..stlh puas menggoogle dan membaca forum...yeap..twas not that difficult la to enter spore via car. kalau dgr2 cite org mcm hassle bagai nak rak..tapi sebenonye..its easylah!...or adakah kerana mind n physicalku dah well prepared . anyways...just make sure passport wth u, geran kete, insurans kete semua ada (wpun dia tak check), plus duit singa dah tukar siap2. oh yes...kalau amik masa lama pun , masa isi embarkation form...maklumla..anak 4 org...huh..jenuh isi utk 6 org tuh. lepas dah cop2 passport d imigresen, kene parking sat kat block B building to purchase the autopass. cost $10. then dia minus $6 and u r left wth $4 balance. boleh guna utk byr parking.

dlm kul 230pm 18/6 tu kami masuk spore zoo (ikut mandai road aft the woodlands checkpoint tu). earlier i dah printed e-coupon dr internet to get the 1 free child ticket bila purchase 2 adults tickets. we took the zoo-per saver package so dah include skali naik boat ride wth unlimited tram ride. we're lucky sbb masih smpt utk tgk 2 animals show. the elephant show ngan splash animal show. mmg best n salute la. the animals shows were really entertaining and very enjoyable. we smpt jugak jln2 dlm zoo..tgk kangaroo, white tiger (ooohhh...this ... i Lurveee.... the tigers are sooo gebu n cantek...kalau la boleh usap n pelok)...6pm we all kuar dr zoo n had kfc (pricy...ceh!). then kitaorg ke sentosa island to watch 'song of the sea' .its sthing like water fountain musical thingy lah..tapi of course lebih adv dr apa yg ada kat mines tu (kalau ada lagi lah...hahha). there's a story behind it and dia punye laser effect tu mmg amazing!

next day kami masuk lagi spore...saja jln2 sbb la ni GSS till 31 july. well...nak kata murah tu..idak ler...maklumla duit kita kecik dr duit singa. unless kalau u mmg aim nak beli branded things mcm LV atau coach..well...worth it la kot. sbb designnye baru2 n takda kat malaysia, plus wth the disc...i rasa murah la kot. perfumenye murah2. oh ye, we singgah sim Lim center jugak...situ all the IT and electronics stuff n gadgets mmg byk n good bargains too. dah tgkla ipad yg digembar gemburkan...perghhh....mmg bestla...ala2 iphone dlm versi yang besar sket ler.

we didnt stay in spore, maklumla hotel rate tinggi..so we stayed JB aje , grand paragon hotel. rasanye lebih cost saving... :)..

as for universal studio...kita tunggu package menarik yg dia akan offer nnt...skrg masih lagi kategori mahal...n tak berkemampuan. hahhha...

on 12 June '10, Faqihah n Zakhwan attended the MPH Kids Club 7th Bday party. held in Subang Parade Mall from 2pm - 5pm. loads of activities had been lined up for the kids n the best partnye each activity ada hadiah. they were very lucky coz their group 'yellow group' won most of 'em. so by the time we picked them up, smpi tak cukup tangan nak bwk hadiah ..hahah... mmg rezeki derang. siap dapat beg sekolah lagi. so... we thank MPH n MKC for the invi , plus all the sponsors yg baik hati menaja begitu byk hadiah....z n q had so much fun n told us..tahun depan nak attend lagi bday party MKC. well kiddos...i'allah..kalau ada rezeki..kita dtg lagi tahun depan yeh!

yeap...come april n may..mmg kene simpan bajet lebih sket. sbb bulan2 ni...anak2 meningkat usia setahun lagi. this year, we celebrated their birthdays by sleeping over kat hotel yg berdekatan kl/sgor aje lah. stayed 1 nite, had fun kat pool and makan2.

0n 17/4 we celebrated bday Zakhwan kat holiday inn shah alam. nice hotel. great pool. malam tu mum n cher (wth kiddos) came to celebrate his bday. memula g dinner then lepak ramai2 kat bilik...utk acara tiup lilin n bday song. tq to aunty sherry for the lovely cake n to aunty jija for the dinner treat. to aunty anis..tq for the sms wish yah!...

on 28/5 we celebrated bday for the May girls kat sunway hotel. brought them for 3D shrek movie and lunch kat tony roma's. the girls were soo excited bila tony's staff came to our table wth the bday cake (a slice actually) n sang to them bday song. hehhe..termalu2 gitu :) . later in the evening, kak fiza came wth his sons for bowling. *huh...tak aci..kak fiza pun kalahkan rafik. teror plak mak budak tuh! cit.!!!

baru ni la berkesemptn nak update gbr2 bali. ala2 dah basi la jugak cite percutian Bali ni.hehe

we started our first day in Bali on the 30/1/10 and ended on 1/2/10. it was a surprise bday gift from rafik actually. tak sangka..diusia ku ke37 , masih lagi dpt surprise gift n yg lbh surprise, tak sangka pik masih romantik. auww...i can say this was our 2nd honeymoon lah sejak kawin in 1998. giler lama tuh. kinda nerves jugak maklumla..dah lama tak jln jauh2 berdua aje. slalunye ramai jek askar2 yg ikut sama ;) nasib baik anak2 pun ok when we told them we're goin to Bali. kakak asked y do we have to go, sbb keje ke? but we said we go jalan2, n mcm biasala..kenapa tak bwk derang..but alhamdulillah aft a brief explanation by Abah, the kids were ok wth our trip. ala2 bg restu lah! *tp mcm2 la pesanan soh beli itu ini...;)

- our flight wth air asia departed at 1025am. we had our bfast at lcct ajer kinda rush jugakla. smpt grab puff n softdrink aje.

- arrvd Ngurah Rai airport (named aft a Balinese warrior), DenPasar arnd 120pm camtuh. our hotel van dah siap tunggu. tapi masa d airport tu smpt la dpt kad dr pakcik Bali (pak Sanura) which turned out to be our tourist guide for 2 days. we checked in J Boutique Hotel, Kuta(ni packaged skali ngan flight). dlm 10 mins drv aje dr aiport. oh yes, their welcome drinks was so refreshing n cooling. i guessed its markisa juice. we rest for a while in the room before we went to the nearby stall for nasi padang. there's a big HALAL sign so kita tawakal kedai tu halal la. maklumla..dr org2 yg dah prnh pegi, kene hati2 sket la kat Bali ni for halal food. maklumla..90% citizennye are hindus. aft lunch, we strolled along the road kononye rafik nak sewa kereta n nak drv sendiri d bali (adventurous la konon..heheh) tapi lepas tanya sana sini, the rate was quite high. so,..pikir punye pikir,,,we call Pak Sanura n asked him for his charges bwk kami jln2 Bali. n wallah,,mmg murah la dlm RM180/2days tmasuk drvr n fuel. so..we set for him to fetch us at 4pm (oh yes,,,waktu d bali n mesia sama). Pak Sanura sure was friendly n mmg dia dah biasa bwk org2 muslim malaysia so kitaorg takda maslh carik kedai halal. mcm2 dia borak masa dlm van avanzanye, cite sejarah la cite makan la, cite pasal org Bali la...very informative guy la dia ni. maklumla..he used to work in a hotel. so ptg tu we went to Uluwatu temple. temple ni located kat atas bukit and mengadap lautan Hindi. on the way ke sana, smptla Pak Sanura buat one round masuk dlm golf course (owned by Tommy). kira puas jugakla hati rafik wpun tak dpt main golf..tgk golf course yg cantek tu pun kira dah ok ler. :) we arrvd Uluwatu Temple arnd 6pm. huh..jenuh jugakla berjalan masuk temple tu. sblm masuk kene bayr dulu n we were asked to tie a ribbon aound our waist. ala2 menghormati temple derang la. layan kan jekla...:p temple tu biasa jekla with monyet bergayut sana sini. tapi yg mengkagumkan aku was the scenery mengadap laut tu. fuh!!! lauatan tu seluas mata memandang. mmg cantek dan mengujakan. then dlm 630 we watched the ' kecak dance' performed by the temple people. the story behind the dance was about Sita n Rama, very exciting but the best part was ...the dance was performed at the top of the temple n so we get to witnessed the sunset. Masyaallah...cantek sungguh!..perfomance tu dlm 30mins. so..by then perut pun mula berkeroncong so Pak Sanura brought us for a romantic dinner at Jimbaran. candle light dinner lagi tu...meja betul2 mengadap laut. n while we enjoyed our seafood, two girls were dancing balinese dance on the small stage. n ada la 3-4 org mamat yg main gitar smbl menyanyi from one table to another. twas a very relaxing moment for us...truly....

so...lepas dah kenyang2,,,Pak Sanura brought us to Galuh Bali Spa. we took the couple spa package n we surely enjoyed the 1 hour massage n 1 hour body scrub...perghhh...mmg sedap..i tell u. lepas discrub, a tub filled with warm aromatherapy water, spreaded with rose petals awaits us. apa lagi....rendam time...hehheh,..,.

- aft bfast d hotel, Pak Sanura fetched us at 830am. 1st destination was to the silver jewellery shop, located along the way to Ubud. sepjg2 jln tu, sawah padi kiri kanan and kedai jual berjenis patung berhala. dr patung yg kecik smpi la yg besar2. ngeri jugak bile dah tgk byk2 patung nih. upon arrving the jewellery shop, we were briefed on how a silver bangle was made. mmg semuanye handmade so designnye very limited. pricy jugakla tapi rasa2nye tak jumpa kalau carik kat KL ni. smptla belikan hadiah harijadi for my sis ena, knowing she loved silver n white gold kan. so we got her a silver bangle..n yes..it was pretty n cute.

then we headed to the Karyawan village. kat sini jual paintings aje. the village people sure are creative tapi for me n pik yg tak pandai nak menilai seni ni...what we can say..hrmmm...that the paintings were beautiful and looked so real. according to Pak Sanura, paintings kat sini murah coz ramai malaysian beli byk2 n jual at a handsome price in Mesia.

next we went to Kintamani, the volcano area. pemandangan mmg cantek. kiri kanan boleh nmpk terrace paddy field. masyaallh sgt menghijau sekali. we lunched kat restoran yg terletk betul2 bersebelahan ngan volcano area. boleh nmpk la area bekas larva. sejuk dan nyaman udaranye. klua dr restoran byk org2 bali yg nak menjual souvenir..siap letak kat tangan lg. seboleh2 nak soh beli jugak.

lepas tu Pak Sanura brought us to the Bali Coffee Garden. wallah...dpt rasa pelbagai jenis kopi free kat sana. mmg sedap, nak plak masa tu hujan. mmg kaw!..hehe..one thing i like about places in Bali ni, the toilets are clean. walau pun dlm ladang kopi but still they take gud care of the toiltets. best best, hehhe. lepas beli kopi sikit sebyk, we told Pak Sanura to bring us to the Spa. mcm biasa la, dah penat2 jalan, badan harus diurut. * plus pik pun dah makin gian nak berspa. we took the 2 hours Bali massage. perghhh...mmg enak dong!.

then we took our shower there. well, we preferred the Spa here coz the setup was damn cool and looked exclusive n expensive. heheh...

mcm biasa, lepas dah diurut n dah segar, perut pun mula berbunyi. so we had nasi pecel swhere near our hotel.

esoknye,,just jln2 shopping at the mall near the hotel. smptla beli lagi souvenirs n dvd Merlin. DVD price was cheap dr kat mesia ni.

around 12 noon, we checked out the hotel n trus ke airport...

and so.... that ends our memorable trip in Bali. kalau ada peluang mmg nak pegi lagi..just cant get enuf of the Spa. hhihihihi...

MASKFAMILY Outing 2009 - To Taiping with LoVe

so, m just gonna recap the trip n update our blog.
yes, we did it! despite my issue yg hampir membatalkan pemergian kami sefamili kesana but alhamdulillah we made it to taiping. i would like to thank m.a.s. for the moral support n kata2 semangat yg tak putus2..syukran Allah telah mempermudahkan urusan kita semua. i love u girls!!!!mmmuuuaaahhhh.......
the trip was from 18-20th Dec 2009 and we stayed in flamingo hotel, taiping. the hotel just operated for 4 months, so masih nmpk baru n facilities looked brand new. the skypool was awesome. m.a.s. managed to singgah rumah alek for lunch on the way to the hotel. me n fmly tak sempt so we checked in the hotel dulu for the group
masa d tepen, places we covered were the zoo, the museum, the tepen lake (playground area je). we ate nasi lemak kukus tepen, rojak kangkung kat stall sebelah king edward school, roti canai at restoran bismillah (terkilan tak dpt makan cendol nye)n delicious mee udang kuala sepetang. oh yes, we missed kueytiaw doli jugak. takda rezeki!
it was an exciting trip to close year 2009. everybody had fun ...as always!!!

Terlajak Perahu Boleh Undur, Terlajak Kata...

Bila kita fikir2kan balik..banyak benarnya kata pepatah ni. Betulla kata org tua2...kalau dah terlajak kata..banyak buruk dari baiknya. kalau terlajak perahu masih boleh diundur tapi kalau dah terlajak kata, boleh ke nak telan balik apa yang telah dikata???

Itu lah sebabnya, mak kita selalu pesan..sebelum nak cakap, pikir dulu. dan yang kita paling pegang kata2 mak sampai sekarang dan sampai bila-bila..kalau sesuatu yang tak elok jadi pada kita, jangan cepat salahkan orang lain dan berkata yang bukan-bukan. tapi pikir dulu apa salah yang kita dah buat sampaikan Allah menduga kita sebegitu rupa.

"Allah menduga seseorang hambaNya kerana Allah tahu hambaNya itu mampu menghadapi dugaanNya. "

Bila kita menjadi mangsa kata-kata, macam2 perasaan yang bercampur baur melanda diri kita. Hati kita sakit, terluka, sedih, marah, bengang, rasa diri kita ni tak dihargai dan macam2 lagilah. kira memang tak seronok bila hati kita berperasaan macam tu. kita ingin tegakkan kebenaran tapi kita rasa mungkin akan lebih memburukkan keadaan. banyak hati yang perlu kita jaga. ....Dan, akhirnya, kita mengambil keputusan untuk berdiam diri sahaja. Kadang2 kita terpikir jugak, kenapa kita boleh pikir dan fahami orang lain tapi orang lain tak boleh nak pikir dan fahami kita. hrmm..benarla juga kata pepatah rambut sama hitam tapi hati lain-lain ye.

Tapi takpalah, biarlah kita saja yang terluka sebab kita tau Allah itu Maha Mengetahui apa yang tersirat dalam hati kita dan niat kita yang sebenarnya. Kita doakan semoga ini menjadi pengajaran kepada mereka yang dah terlajak kata dan semoga suatu hari mereka akan sedar akan kebenaran yang sebenar-benarnya. amin.

Kesimpulannya, kita rasa adalah lebih baik kita berdiam sahaja dari kita berkata2 jika kita tahu berkata2 itu hanya akan menyusahkan dan memburukkan keadaan.

its coloring time

nadhirah aka adik was selected to represent her kindergarden i.e. Tadika Riang in the Yamaha Music Coloring contest on 26Apr09.tho nadiah was not, but she was very supportive (surprise jugak coz they always do things together). it was held in front of yamaha music school in Pandan Mewah. she competed in group C for the 5 yrs kids.
we were required to bring own colors n stuff n so we had to borrow abang's color pencil coz her's dah jadik belacan! about 30 kids participated and most of them brought all the sophisticated coloring tools. (*yang tak pernah tgk pun ada, dlm hati, alamak takda can la nak menang!)
she was calm all the way n finished coloring in time. i wanted to go home right after she finished coz i felt that there's no way she can beat the other kids. But pik said lets just stay and see who's the winner. wallah..to our surprise the emcee announced nadhirah won 2nd place. hahahha...terkezut den!
anyway..good job nadhirah!!! * nadiah tak jeles langsung and siap teman adik amik hadiah lagi.. :D

my coll recommended this place.
checked out the website and looked interesting esp when i saw there's kids corner. perfect for adults n kids. the setup was cool.
each stall selling their special dishes. u'll b given a ticket once u register at the front counter. one stamp for one menu ordered.
there were grill stall, pasta, juices, soups, pizza, etc...melilau mata anak2 n main order tak hengat dunia!!!
food was delicious esp the pizza..z had to order twice ;) (sedap sgt la tuh)

so gals..lets have MASK dinner here. cool!

Sirah Junjungan - Tahajud Cinta

We(me, anis, pik n nasa) watched the theatre on 22 Mar 2009. Yes, we (just me n pik...anis prefered siti :)) wanted to see Amy's appearance and not jamal or siti or mawi.. so to witness his powerful voices and damn..he was gooD!
the theatre was great too.sayang plak tak bwk anak2 bersama. byk kali jugakla airmata ni mengalir..mmg syahdula..n the best part, towards the end, we were asked to stand up n berselawat.
bravo to erma fatima n the team. i rated it as 5 stars!
so to those who missed it this year, pray that it will b shown again next year!

Almost didn't made it.....

Yeapp...almost NOT made it for last check-in to KK at 6.20pm! Bus only left KL Sentral at 5.20pm. SMS & called Jija several times trying to get Jija who was already at LCCT to check us all in. Jija's 1st trial of checking all of us in was not fruitful as they wanted US to be there with our ICs!!! Just as it was fated for us to go, Abg Ajiz who happened to be hanging around wt his dear sister bumped into an old friend who was a senior officer of Airasia. So he managed to check us all in thru the backdoor but our luggages was still not there. Merely 5 mins before the counter closed, we arrived LCCT & Jija was there in front of the bus helping us to retrieve our luggages to be scanned & brought to the counter manned by a sour-faced mamat. TQ abg Ajiz & Jija........else i wouldn't know how to explain to the overly excited children why we couldn't go.

Nway, although we checked ourselves in on-time but the filght was not on time!! It was delayed again to 8.25pm.

Taxi to the Promenade apt was easy & took a short while. Again we were startled by the creepy looking corridor leading us to our rooms 2512 & 2513 of Block 5, Api-Api Centre. But inside it was a very soothing & welcoming ambience. So dinner was just mamak's fried rice of RM6 a packet. Since the children slept in d plane so everybody was still awake at 1am. Darling Jija came in my room with a cute little gift confidently wishing me Eppy Bday!!! I could only smile as she didn't believe it wasn't d day yet...uhhuu....

The flight delay had utterly changed our initial iteanary of going to the wet market the nite before. In fact we didn't even made it for our 9.20am pick-up to visit the Mari Mari Cultural Village. Luckily tho, they allowed us to defer the time to 2.20pm. So after breakfast, to the wet market we went. Children were astonished by the big fishes being sold with many many sizes of prawns & squids including giant-sized cockles. We stopped by the Philipino market for some souveniers for the children, to the frozen seafood mart & stalls selling dried seafoods. Then we took the taxi back to the apt & our cooking & lunch rendevous started till just in time to prepare ourselves for the pick-up.

The Mari-Mari Cultural Village, not commonly known by the locals proved to be very entertaining & knowledgable. We savoured the soul of Sabah as we entered the different homes of the etcnicities of Sabah. What's more with the TV3 troop making their coverage and Aidid Marcello as the host, we made ourselves famous for 3 hours. By the time we had our hi-tea, everybody was tired & looking forward to going back to the apt. In the van, ard 7pm, everyone vowed that we can't put in any dinner for that day!!!

However, at 9pm, adik called from next door asking for dinner...........so everyone sat eating whtever food that was left behind earlier. Jija was busy surfing the cyberspace & she got adik to bring her a platter of seafood....

Our last day was spent packing up & a short walk outside to catch a glimpse of the waterfront which wasn't a good idea.................uwwwaaa.......

MASK @ Melaka (28~29 March '09)

Alhamdulillah the Fantastic Four aka MASK + family overnite trip to Melaka was a fulfilling & blessed one. This time our trip was completed ( as in...u complete me) by the attendance of the Ampang loving couple (Amri~Fiza) who celebrated Fiza's 32nd bday. Our wishes of longevity love, health & wealth goes to her...amin. We were happy to be pampered with pieces of Secret Recipe cakes + tit bits from the loving couple, even tho we were blocks apart. Our trip was also completed by the presence of Pakcik & Makcik Abdullah who was just distance away from us, in Kmpg Pernu.

With Melaka comes IKAN BAKAR & we hearthily filled our tummies with jenahaks, belanak (bro aje!), pari (1/2 returned), cuttlefish, prawns, mixed vege, nasi lemak, jars of sugar cane & lime syrup at Umbai. Thanks once again to the loving couple & to the employee of SME Bank for topping up half of the ridiculous bill...RM350.0 (Congrats SME Bank for a well-deserved salary adjustment).

From Umbai, we drove back to Banda Hilir, drivin thru long-winded one way routes looking for the Melaka River Cruise jetty. Sailing thru the 9km river for 45 minutes, the boat trip proved worth the fee of Rm10 per adult & RM5 per child above 2 yrs of age, especially for Iju & Jija who also had the chance to taste the water...yucks!

With Melaka too comes ROTI CANAI BAKAR which the gents & boys had their breakfast at the stall itself while women & girls ate it at the apartment. Being considerate people, we didn't want to trouble the pakcik with our large crowd!! Again TQ to the loving couple for allowing some of our children to accompany them for breakfast at the hotel and then brought them straight to the pool. The rest of us joined in later & the water was indeed cooling enough for our bodies.

With Melaka also comes its ASAM PEDAS. Since the claypot asam pedas rest was closed, we stuck to our initial iteanary & drove to Bukit Katil, lead by Rafik. It was a truly satisfying lunch at a considerable price of RM117.0 We started off with rice, followed by the must-try cekodok pisang (RM2), cucur udang (2 biji), kuih keria (4 ketul) & tapai pulut; all cicah with asam pedas.

We were lucky to have a professional photographer with us...Nasa, who willingly took pictures whenever he could. Still we hope the pictures will be develop for us to look at in due time...

Just as i enjoyed writing this blog while munching Iju's kerepek (TQ matey), hope everyone else enjoyed themselves in Melaka.

You Must LoVe Yourself FIRST

And that was exactly what we did, to rejuvenate and recharge ourselves … in the hope that we submerge to be better wives, friends, mothers, daughters and individuals. To renew ourselves, we got together and nurtured our physical and emotional cravings.
First on the itinerary was vigorous lapse in the pool which in the end turned out to splish-sploshing in the water while updating each other on our past to current condition/situation.
Cher had made reservations at Halia @ Sime Cnvention Center. Iju and I couldn’t wait to dig our faces into all the dishes. We were starving! Could have probably eaten almost anything displayed on the table.. but we reserved our manners. The food…wah..it was an explosion of flavours. The main meal was stupendously tasty. Good job Cher! I’ve been having a hankering for capsicums for a while now.. and it was fulfilled. The salad was ordinary..but I made sure I piled the plate with juicy watery capsicums. We tasted almost everything… salads with an array of dressings, grapes in chocolate fondue, intriguing looking “kuehs” yet yummy to the taste buds..and many more… too many to mention (go check out the menu la). We were content! It was money well spent.
Back to Cher’s for a more relaxed atmosphere – watched DVD, chatted, planned, strategized (hehehe)..but mainly just chilled!
All of us sadly departed, and returned to our “pijak di bumi yang nyata” lives, around 6p.m. A day worth spent..coz it was spent with ‘family’ (but missing one member..Pn Awanis kita). Hope to have many more rejuvenating moments..hopefully with all m.a.s.k. members presence. Woohoo!

The preparation for the majlis ala2 mcm nak buat majlis kahwen. serabut kepala otak ni pikir from the food menu rite up to khemah n list of invitees. syukur alhamdulillah, majlis went smoothly and we Thank You all our guests yg meraikan majlis kami.

MASK Buka Puasa

MASK and family were able to break fast together on 27th September at the Bukit Jalil Golf and Country Resort (BJGCR). Fortunately, Nasa was able to make it too. He had just arrived from Myanmar and we went straight to BJGCR. We arrived just after the call for Maghrib prayers.

The food was great and filling. I was looking forward to eat the ox tongue but it was a bit salty so I couldn't eat much. As usual, we enjoyed each other's company. The kids were so happy running all over the place and going in and out of the 7-E as if it belongs to them. Hehe...

Before saying goodbye, we had a group photo taken in front of the reception counter. Didn't take any photos in the restaurant before that because everybody was too busy savouring the food. After posing for the group photo, MASK were busy exchanging raya cookies (cornflakes and choc chip) and money. We departed with a full stomach and fond memories of our gathering.

Today is the 22nd day of Ramadhan. That means we have another 8 days before Hari Raya. I believe that most of your Hari Raya preparation is already completed. As for me, I still have a few items to buy but waiting for Nasa to come home.

finally, i get to witnessed Gunung Kinabalu with my bare-naked eyes. been dreaming to be here since i was single. it was a 3D/2N trip with my family and both parents. was an exciting trip for all of us (hey...suddenly baru realized 3 generasi yg pegi ke sini..ahaks..the parents, the daughter-son and the grandchildrns ;)). we spent the 1st nite at Kinabalu Pine Resort. the place was great esp the scenery. mmg mengkagumkan with d smell of fresh flowers when u open the hotel room in d morning.n Masyallah..we get to capture the pic of 2 rainbows appeared on the sky after a drizzled rain that afternoon..canteknyeeeeeeee. we captured some pics at the Kinabalu park, the starting point for those yg nak mendaki gunung. terkilan jugak tak dpt pegi hotspring due to the limited timing.
as for makan, quite difficult to locate seafood stalls yg halal.so on the 2nd day when we were in KK town, we bought prawns n masak sendiri at the Marina Aprtmnt. a spacious and cozy apt i must say n the price is cheap too.located near the sea so just imagine angin laut yg menghembus kuat, mmg buleh buat u terbang! Our shoppin spree was at the Phlipines market..haaa kat sini is where u nak carik pelbagai jenis mutiara. yg dah jadik rantai, cincin, gelang, brooch n segala macam lagi, semua nye ADA!. good bargain lagi!

Happy Birthday Nashwan & Najwa

First of all, happy fasting to everyone. Today is the 3rd day of fasting. This is also a delayed entry. Happy reading.

Nashwan turned 1 year old on 30th July 2008. Thought of celebrating his birthday among family on that day but unfortunately, he was not well. He had quite a high fever with a few mouth ulcers on his throat. It was quite bad. He couldn't drink his milk because it was painful to swallow. I took him to the clinic and the doc told me if the ulcers did not disappear in the next 1 or 2 days, Nashwan had to be admitted and put on drip. At home, Nashwan couldn't drink his milk because of the pain. He cried when he tried to swallow and I felt so sad watching him like that. I know that he was hungry but he wasn't able to swallow his milk. Finally, at 1 a.m. I took him to Ampang Puteri because I couldn't stand seeing him in that condition. The doctor gave me a medication that can help numb his throat so that he wouldn't feel any pain when swallowing. Alhamdulillah, at last, he was able to drink his milk. He gradually became better and at last, we were able to celebrate his birthday on 1st August. HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY NASHWAN!

We celebrated Najwa's birthday on 7th August 2008. She is 3 years old this year. HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY NAJWA! My little princess is getting chubbier day by day. My darling children celebrated their birthdays without their father around. Sob sob... Thought of having a birthday party for both of them but couldn't find a suitable date. Maybe next year.

tho Kluang Railcoffee stations had open quite a number of its shop here in KL..but i still prefer the ones in Kluang. the pureness of its coffee and steamed buns are two thumbs up compared to the ones in Kl.u guys shld try it, whenever u r in kluang, jhr.

P.Ramlee The Musical

Thank you to my dearest friends and Faqiha who sent me a birthday wish on 31st May. Nasa was around to celebrate my birthday. On 30th May, both of us went to Istana Budaya to watch P.Ramlee the Musical season 2. It was great! Better than the 1st season. In this season, Musly Ramlee replaced Sean Ghazi as P.Ramlee and Emelda Rosmila played the part of Azizah replacing Siti Nurhaliza. Tiara made the right decision of replacing Sean Ghazi with Musly Ramlee. He was the right choice. He really looked and sounded like Allahyarham P.Ramlee. This time it was more touching. I didn't have time to feel sleepy unlike the 1st season.

The show ended around 12 midnite. Waited for the casts to come out for the autograph session. I missed the autograph session during the 1st season. At last...I got to meet my former schoolmate - Melissa Saila. And the best part is that she still remembers me. Nasa snapped a few pics of me and her. I also got to pose with Fara Fauzana. She's so friendly,very sweet and down-to-earth. She queued up for the autograph session.

On 31st May, Nasa and I took Nafis and Najwa to Midvalley. We went bowling because Nafis has been pestering me to go bowling for quite some time. Took some photos but cannot upload them for now. Hope to upload soon.

It was all kak fiza's idea. she wanted to bring her kids for bowling and yg jadik mangsa to meriahkan suasana ..well please take into acc, me in Pak Lah's family is the one wth the most kids (so far la..). so here we are, having utmost fun at the bowling alley in cineleisure Damansara Perdana. the alley was damn smooth n what i love most .."TAK RAMAI ORANG"!!!.. z n q played in the children's lane and me, k.fiza, meerul n meera the next lane. pity the twins n raziq..well they could only slide behind the lane n clapped every time the pins were being hit by us. jgn mare k..i won both games. z n q striked twice. anak sapa la yek..heheheh. sorry meerul, u had the style n all but kalau manjang masuk longkang..apa kes????

Hari Keluarga Masjid SUA Bukit Damansara

For the first time since my parents bought their house there, the mosque had its 1st Family Day i believe meant to foster unity & strengthen ties among residents in Bkt Damansara. My family & i of course represented the younger generation of the area. It started off with a walkhaton which my dad & i took part in, followed by a clown & magic show for the kids, then a colouring contest which my kids took part in & sukaneka for both children & adults. We had our breakfast,lunch,tea & dinner at the Dewan Al-Khatab as dad paid RM15 for every adult head of his family. Hubby took care of baby at home in the daytime which enabled me & my kids to participate fully at half of the day's event. The family day ended with a solat jemaah Maghrib & Isya'& a "ceramah" given by Y.Bhg. Ustaz Muhammad Nizam B.Abdul Kadir from UIA. Alhamdulillah i managed to join the evening session as mum allowed her maid to look after my baby. Sabrina just couldn't let her grandma leave her behind & she followed us for the "solat magrib" but mum had to go off i the middle of "ceramah" as she made so much fuss!!!! All in all, we had a great time even though I was surrounded mainly by filthy rich oldies and ended up sleeping the whole day the next day, suffering from aching muscles & tendons!!! Of course would have been better to have MA*K members together...muahaha....

Happy Mother's Day to mothers all over the world especially MASK members, including Jija the mother of 6!

As usual, my family celebrated all mothers with Hi-tea but this time it was at the Corus Hotel. Besides good food, there were also games for mothers & children. Danai spa opened a booth there & i can't stop myself from getting a good hand massage.

Coincidentally, this year's mother's day coincides with Iju's twins birthday. So taking this opportunity to wish the both of them a very Happy 4th Birthday!!!

Zakhwan's school (sek Agama Kafa al-Huda) was selected among other 11 schools to participate in Kuiz Adik Comel which will start to be on air in June 08 at Astro Oasis chanel (ch 106).and z was lucky that he was in the list of participants for his school.the kuiz is about Islamic n Arabic subject. after 2 classes of tuition wth the school as preparation for the quiz day, on the 12th April, the shooting starts at Finas Studio A,Jln Ampang. we sent z to the school where the Finas pick-up van was waiting to bring the kids to the studio. their shot was scheduled at 3pm but they had to bring the kids to the studio earlier (1130am)basically to familiarize the kids wth the studio env, shooting briefing etc. at 430pm, we fetched z from Finas n were made to understand that his school didnt make it thru for the final. their marks were only 85 and only 3 schools with highest marks will b chosen for the final. so, z only brought home finas goody bag wth a free ticket to aquaria. Ok la tuh kan..n he said he had fun n the food was good ;). so gals..watch out for z's appearance on the 6th episode of Kuiz Adik Comel !!!

on friday 11th Apr, i surprised rafik for a concert as an annvrsary gift. kinda belated but the thot that counts kan. he was talking to me last month bout his frustration having to be missed Jamal's performance at Istana Budaya. n guess he's fortunate that Jamal again performed in a charity concert for Pengasih titled "Konsert Kasih Jamal n Saleem" on 11-13th April. so, without much thot, i knew that would be the best gift for him for our 10th annvrsary.
we're lucky that tho i bought the cheapest rate ticket but on its opening day, we are free to choose our seats. so apalagi we sat at the centre of the Plenary Hall, KLCC and got the best view thruout the show. to add to it, our mantan PM was there too wth his wife. tak sangka u, he likes Jamal too.
and i got to salute both of them, saleem n jamal for their powerful voices. huh!...dgr lagu2 derang ala2 hot masa zaman kita mudo2 dulu...meremang bulu roma beb. nostalgic!they invited blues gang, misha and ahmad nawab as their guest singers. all in all..i conclude we enjoyed the night ;) (dah lama rasa tak kuar mlm2...heheh..smpi rumah pkl 130pg beb!!. esoknye kene sound ngan mak aku...HAHHAHAHHAH)

Sacrifice is such a sacred word but with deep meaning especially as brought about & shown by Jija on 13th April. Only to make it possible for me to look at adorable Arianna Shasmeen, Jija willingly drove makcik and baby Arianna to Ikea for breakfast, all the way from Puchong. In my mind,i was thinking of how in the world is Jija gonna handle two people who are pratically invalid ie makcik who needs a wheelchair and baby Arianna who needs to be carried. But Jija lovingly brought both of them over without the slightest hint of lethargy. Believe me, no words could describe the respect & awe i have for Jija. You have shown a good example to us & particularly me on how sacrifices should be done for a mother,whom we claim we love! My salute to u darling....

Celebrated my 36th Bday yday. My bro Razif came back from Singapore and treated all of us to a dinner cum my bday celebration at the PJ Hilton hotel. Today at 5.45pm, aft waking up, i was alerted by an sms from Iju saying .. she has passed her CUTE with flying colours. Please accept my heartiest congratulations! Nothing much to say except that Iju has proven to all tht her brain is still up to the standard!!! Despite the many obstacles present in her life, she still manage to spare her time to sit & study, even in the presence of her 4 growing children, whom are always seeking for mama's attention. AstroCeria's Run For Fun

On the 30th March 2008 our children namely Azalea, Zakhwan, Alisya & Nurin together with GG's children ie Atira, Atisha & Ammar had the opportunity to participate in the widely promoted Astro Ceria's Run For Fun held at Stadium Shah Alam. Kids registered themselves a day before the event & each child were given a bib each. They woke up excitedly at 5am just to take part in the run. Alhamdulillah all went well despite the slight horror at the finishing waiting area where parents were impatiently looking for their children!! The crowd was tremendous which resulted to parents very reluctant to stay on for the performance by kids favourite artists like the Geng Bas Sekolah & Hikayat Putera Shahzlan. But at least they got to be entertained by abg Zoey & Mat Kacau just before the race.

As a supportive mother, i took leave to cheer & support Azalea & Alisya as they each took part representing their classes. Don't remember the names of the events they took part in but am happy & proud to annouce their victories. Both classes managed to secure 1st placing & got themselves each a GOLD medal. Was indeed a happy & exciting day for all of us.

8 Mar 2008 Yes, ..on the day Malaysians performed their duty as voters for 2008 national election, it's the day that we celebrated our 10th year of marriage. Syukur alhamdulillah both me and rafik, we have made it this far and we hope to make it for the next 10 and so on. we've gone thru a lot together, the good n bad times n i pray to Allah to not stop giving us His Love, Mercy and Guidance in surviving His tests and challenges in our life. I'm back with another story to blog. Tiba-tiba pulak jadi rajin nak blog walaupun cerita dah basi. Hehe...

Since Iju and family are planning to go to TBR this weekend, I've decided to blog my family's stay at TBR and included some pictures so that everybody will have an idea of the place. The kids will have so much fun there. Najwa didn't want to get out of the pool.

Our stay at TBR was from 2nd - 3rd February 2008. Since Nasa was around, he decided to take us cuti-cuti Malaysia. I wanted to go to Kuantan at first. Cher had given me the necessary info about the hotels there. However, after considering the distance and the time that we had, I opted to go to PD instead. Thus, our stay at Tiara Beach Resort.

We had a room facing the pool. During our stay there, there were a few companies having their Family Day so, the pools were quite packed with children and adults. Besides the interesting pools, there were clowns giving out balloons; can watch movie at an open area (which we did not watch coz it was during Maghrib); cycling (a lot of bicycles to ride even tandem bike). There are many activities that you can do there. The place even has a spa which I didn't have the time to try.

On our way back home the next day, we stopped by the Ostrich Farm. It was a very hot day. Luckily Nashwan was very good. Nafis and Najwa had the opportunity to feed the goats. Nasa fed the ostrich. If the time is right, you can ride on the ostrich and you will be given a cert (if I'm not mistaken). The kids can ride the pony, touch the small croc and take pics with the monkey.

Well, that's all for now. I hope Iju and family will have a great time there.

Istana Budaya trips

Nafis' first trip to watch theatre at IB was on 11th Nov 2007. Ibu took Nafis to watch Peter Pan, an international production. It was very interesting to watch Peter Pan and Tinkerbell (played by our local child actress) flying above the audience.

The next trip to IB was with Auntie Jijah, Auntie Zukid and friends - Aiman, Shidah, Zakhwan and Faqihah. It was on 16th Dec 2007. We watched Aladdin, a local production. Mothers and kids really had a fun moment watching the antics of the casts especially the Genie of the Lamp (played by Faisal Ismail of Hotfm). After the show, the kids took the autograph of the casts.

Just taking the honour to blog on my Pulau Langkawi trip wt IbuAyah family on 23rd - 25th Feb. The usual was the chocolate craze shopping. The unsual was our stay at the Aseania Resort with the so called longest swimming pool and our ride on the cable car.

now Rafik has influenced Z into golf plak. actually he bought the club for Z 2 years ago but only recently Z shows interest. so yesterday we all went to the driving range at Pandan Indah. Pik coached him n wallah tak smpi berapa minit Z dah buleh hit the ball correctly. he was sooo excited bout the whole thing. me n twins just watched from our table whilst nurin's duty to arrange the golf ball on the golf mat. sian kakak but she was complaining from the start that she' bored..so abah lets her do the job n she seems to enjoy it for a while lah!. i did ask her to try hitting the ball but she said "i DOnt like Golf!," ngan muka yg buhsan tu. duh! anak dara sorang tu...sometimes i dunno whats in her mind. she cant seems to like anything (except to be in front of the tv watching cartoons ALL DAY long !!!)..
we were at the range for about two hours. then we head to the playground coz twins wanted to go there. all of us enjoyed ourselves there except for Q. ntah apa punye mood dia smlm. she saw some kids with their fishing rod at the lake and so she wanted to go fishing plak. HIyak! mana la kami nak carik pancing masa tu kan. and so..she made the gloomy face and decided to just sit rather than go running around playing the swing or the slide. merajuk lagi. tak makan pujuk pulak tuh. but in the end maybe tired of just sitting down and kami dah tak kuasa nak pujuk..she took a walk on the reflexology path and tetiba mood terus cloud nine!...hahahha...funny girl she is! (p.s. kalau perasan dlm slide tu takda gambar dia sbb merajuk taknak amik gbr)

yesterday (2/1/08) both nadiah & nadhirah attended their first day at "Tadika Riang". the same kindergarden both zakhwan n faqihah, cousins (amirul, ameerah), aunty (my little sis Ena) learnt to read, write n discover new things n meeting new frens for 3 consecutive years.hah!. Loyal betol kami ngan Tadika Riang ni!.well, i guess apart from the friendly teachers, its kinda convenient due to its distance. oh yes, raziq (kak fiza's youngest child were together with the twins too :))

the nite b4, nadiah seems to b having problem sleeping. she cant stop talking and climbing up n down the bed. i was damn sleepy and the last thing she wanted at 12midnite was a bowl of rice. alamak..mana nak carik, takkan nak masak tgh2 mlm kan. so i had to replace it with roti aje which she reluctantly swallowing it ... but abis jugak sekeping (*wink*). she finally sleeps at 1am. i guess she must be nervous bout the school thingy...heheh (kecik2 dah tension*). they were up early and all excited for school. abang n kakak shared the joy too and all of us sent them to school. they were ok at first but seeing raziq crying n wanting mama in class, twins started to cry for mama as well. nadiah was "cool" compared to nadhirah a.k.a adik. and so we (me n kak fiza) ended up sitting in the class n listening to Ms Lee the teacher singing n teaching till the end.. :p

i believe twins will need about a week to adapt to the new environment. am praying hard they will behave and enjoy their schooling there. i will be on halfday leave again tomorrow so to check that they will ride on the right transport back home.

my current challenges so far...(sigh):

ensuring twins to sleep @10am every nite esp. on weekdays. (currently paling awal they sleep at 1130pm..phew!)
instead of browsing thru 2 school bags, checking homeworks n stationeries, now i need to add 2 more bags!!
masa mmg sentiasa mencemburui ku...rasa mcm tak cukup masa jek every day...will really3x feel it next week when i start working and the morning rush to prepare the kids n twins for school plus preparing myself to work.
there goes my beauty sleep and tiny xtra longer hours of sleep masa cuti sklh aritu
taknak list byk2...kepala sendiri dah sakit..ahahhaha...

but i guess, the twins have their challenges too , first time away from familiar faces at home, meeting strangers both small people n big people, new environment, no more late sleeps, no more Tom & Jerry cartoons until 1030pm and no more late wake ups!must b tough for them too...AND they are only FOUR yrs old and.... here i am at 35 talking n grumbling bout My challenges...duh!!!!Now, i feel i am being cruel to them pulak!...sob sob sob...(bad mama!)

I am at work while my matey, i believe is at her children's school queueing for FREE text books. No idea of Anis's & Jija's plan for today. My first time posting a blog from the office! Not that i am free but just being plain lazy to work.
Am taking this opportunity to wish MASK & family a very Happy New 2008 Year (by the kapiaq calendar!). We, Muslims are lucky as we get to celebrate 2 new years every year. So if we have set a resolution using the Gregorian Calendar and can't abide to it, then we have another chance using the Islamic Calendar.
If i were to sum up the year's happenings, i'll definitely miss a lot as i'm famous for not remembering events, even the most romantic ones!
No pics this time as i have reached the peak of my laziness in downloading pictures. I have to blame it on my baby who has grown to be very active, attached, pampered, talkative, huggable & lovable.
In no time, our kiddos as well as teacher Jija & Anis will end their longest holidays of the year. Seem so long but ending in such a short time. My holidays started with.... kids get together with GG's girls namely Atira & Atisha having their pyjama party at my place on the 18th Nov, followed by my course cum outing at Taman Negara 23-25th Nov, then the most awaited MASK trip to Kuala Trengganu 7-10 Dec, my obligatory trip to Singapore 14-16 Dec, to acknowledge the presence of my 2nd niece, Azalea's second trip to S'pore 22-26 Dec with her grandparents which left me behind taking care of her big house & a maid, Alisya's 7th bday celebration at Rebung Rest 29th Dec also Alyana's first swim at d condo's pool 29th Dec and finally today......

surely glad that my twins finally sleep with kakak in the girl's room. it's been 5 days now! i didnt know how it started but i guess they must have been excited with the school thingy spirit, plus having the thot that they r big girls now n can sleep on their own. nadhirah still cries for milk in the middle of the night and by 6am u can feel her quietly crawling on our bed and sleep at the tip of our toes..hahah...adik la katakan. as for nadiah, i got to salute her. never cried so far and she sleeps soundly next to kakak. :)
congrats twins! u're abahmama big girls now...
i m now preparing mentally n physically for their first day at the pre-school next week.

Nashwan's Aqiqah & Cukur Jambul Ceremony

Alhamdulillah, Nashwan's aqiqah and cukur jambul ceremony was successfully held on 15th December 2007. The ceremony started at 11am with marhaban, berzanji and followed by cukur jambul. Nashwan was crying throughout the cukur jambul event because he wanted to sleep. He fell asleep immediately after the event. Mummie and Geboard's family were the only friends who could attend the ceremony. Thank you for coming. The rest had their own commitment. Maybe they can come next time for my 4th kid...insya Allah. When everybody had left, Nasa started to cut Nashwan's hair short before shaving it. He had to complete the task that night because he had to leave early to KLIA the next morning. Luckily, Nashwan was a good boy throughout the process. Now, he is bald but looks even cuter. My handsome boy. Ibu, ayah, abang Nafis and kakak Najwa love you.

In Memory of Mimi

i just received the news from the Vet, that our dearest Mimi died this morning due to FIP (Fatal Infection Problem). she was warded last nite at Hospital Veterinar in Cheras. we found her being sooo weak last weekend n refused to eat n drink.n last nite worsened, that she was lying n has no strength to even walk on her own. we noticed, for the last 1 month, her tummy was kinda bloated and we thot she was pregnant. but she was then active and we didnt know, she was already sick. When we brought her to the clinic last nite, the Vet did mention, usually for FIP patient, nothing much they can do and eventually it will die. only time will tell. we insist him to give the best treatment to Mimi for we still hope that she will recover.
I dont know how to break the news to Nurin. she will definitely cry, she loves her so so dearly..alahai..sebak betol aku!

M*SK: Terengganu- Kuantan Rally "The Story"

Tganu-Kuantan Holiday Trip (7-10 Dec 2007)

GANU…here we come! What had initially meant to be a M.A.S.K trip to Kuala Terengganu, ended up with one member missing. We know how much Anis wanted to be part of this trip, but family comes first. That has always been priority for all of us. We hope there’ll be more trips to come and Anis and family can eventually join.
We had somewhat expected that the trip to the east coast to be a long and wet journey (it was warned several times by close friends.. but we insisted nevertheless). It had been raining in Selangor and KL for the past several days. It took us by surprise when it rained the most part of the journey, to and fro. So, a 5-hour drive finally turned into a much unanticipated nearly 7-8 hours … with stops here and there..for quick dash to the loo..and to calm our grumbling tummy of its hunger.
The Grand Continental Hotel was accommodating for us. With rooms next to each other, it was easy access for the kids to wander from one room to the other. After settling ourselves comfortably and turning the whole décor into our on little haven, we headed for dinner at the Restoran Terapung Puteri. We were quite ecstatic to find familiar faces there. Jalud, his wife and her family were in KT to accompany him on work purposes, I suppose. The food was disappointing, not to our usual standard. It was pricey and the service was intolerable. They got our orders wrong and it took them forever to have it prepared. I think the highlight of the Ganu trip was meeting Penk and he kindly took us on a tour to Pasar Payang to do our tudung and batik shopping. We had hopes to meet Mang and Shaberi, tapi apakan daya.
It was consensus when we packed our stuffs and headed for Kuantan.. a more familiar and inviting place than Ganu. But I must say, the weather bogged us down. Iju managed to make reservations at M.S Garden..very, very convenient. Next to civilization..hehehe (Berjaya Mall). Thank you so much Ju. We all made do with the weather and all. Caught a movie the second nite there. We were all ‘enchanted’ by the time the show was over. Food was scrumptious. If I recall correctly..think we had seafood on most meals. Gosh, I feel really fat. But no regrets. The food and company were great. Can’t complain. One regret though, didn’t really get to enjoy the pool that much. The pool and the landscape was a sight, but it rained all the time. The kids couldn’t careless I guess as long as they get to play in it. I guess they reminded us of us once upon a time…fearless and couldn’t give a hoot about anyone. We had a great time didn’t we gals? I did for sure. So mate..where is our next trip next year to?

Melaka Trip

On 1st December Nasa and I took the kids to Melaka as a replacement for the Ganu trip. We stayed at Puteri Resort, Air Keroh since it was the only place that was available out of 13 hotels/resorts that I called. We reached the resort around 4pm. After Asar prayers, we went down to the swimming pool. There is 1 big pool for adults and 2 kids pools with slides. The kids enjoyed themselves at the pool. That night, we went to Perkampungan Ikan Bakar Terapung, Umbai Baru for dinner. We ate at Juara Ikan Bakar. The food was delicious. After dinner, Nafis and Najwa got to ride the miniature car and bike available there at the fee of RM3 for 5 minutes. Najwa could not control her car so ibu had to chase after her.

After checking out the next day, we went into the city because Nafis wanted to go to "Muzium Kapal". We had our lunch first at Asam Pedas Selera Kampung near Mahkota Parade. A group of traffic police came to the restaurant to have their lunch while we were eating. Nafis got to pose with one of them. After lunch, we walked to the museum but it was closed for upgrading work. The next choice was to go to Muzium TLDM just across the road. Nafis and Najwa really love going up the naval ship outside the museum. After spending some time at the museum, we headed back to KL.

We achieved our objective of taking the kids to Melaka i.e. for them to enjoy themselves.

Najwa's New Hair Cut

Took Najwa to the hair salon yesterday for her 1st proper hair cut. Ibu has been cutting her hair all this while. There was one incident when we were in Myanmar last year. I accidentally cut the tip of her left ear. Luckily, the bleeding stopped. However, it didn't stop me from cutting her hair when I feel like it. She looks a bit boyish now. Hopefully, she'll look more girlish when the hair starts to grow longer.

Just want to share Nafis' proudest moment. He received a prize consisting of an exercise book and a pencil case at his KAFA school for getting number 4. The prize giving ceremony was held on 16th November 2007 at Masjid Muadz bin Jabal, Setiawangsa after Isya'. Ibu, Najwa and atuk attended it. Atuk must attend the ceremony because he has been sending Nafis to his religious school every morning. I hope Nafis will achieve more success in the coming years. All the best son. I love you.

We celebrated Nafis' 7th birthday a day early i.e on 8th December because today (9th dec) Nasa is flying to Jakarta and atuk and nenek are already in Taiping (they went after the celebration) visiting relatives. Joining in the celebration is my cousin who's accompanying my parents to Taiping - as 2nd driver. Nafis received a school bag from ibu and ayah. Atuk gave him a new bike and he got 4 storybooks from nenek. Selamat panjang umur anakku. Semoga menjadi anak yang soleh.

alhamdulillah, they did give me the best bday gift last week during their school's "Hari Anugerah Cemerlang". Abang received a trophy for getting 3rd place in his class whilst Nurin received 3 trophies for 1st place in class, 1st place for the whole std 1 and best student for science.

no words can describe my emotion and feeling looking at them on the stage. Alhamdulillah, semoga anak2 kita semua akan berjaya di dunia dan akhirat. amin...

Hari Raya Aildil Fitri 1428H

My 1st Syawal started off frustratingly as the medicine Alyana made her feel uneasy and for the first time since she was born, she cried non-stop frm 2am till 4am!! Only Azalea & Alisya followed their daddy to Tok's hse to go to the mosque to perform their aidil fitri prayers. I stayed at home SLEEPING wt Alyana till 9am. After our usual makan2 & salam2 at Dsara, we went to Ulu Yam for our makan2 & salam2 of the other family. From there, we stopped by Rimba Suci for yet another makan2 & salam2. As such, we didn't get to convoy wt my dad's car to Sg. Petani as planned. We were abt 5hrs behind frm them in travelling time. Maybe it was a sin and we were tested wt a car battery breakdwn at the Bukit Gantang r n r!!!! To add to my frustration was the groggy head of mine, wt a not so well bby & dad's dialysis solution in my car!! I prayed & prayed and finally after abt 2 hrs, we managed to get an Indian tow truck to jump start the car. Snc it was almost 8pm and in fear of being stuck again, we were told to head straight to the hotel instead of joining others at grandma's hse. We stopped at the next r n r to buy packed nasi kandar and had our picnic in d hotel room. The next day, the car started on its own and i was the first one to reach grandma's hse BUT none of my cousins turned up as all went jln2 to Alor Setar & Penang. So me & my family was not in any of this year's Raya pictures wt grandma..sob..sob..sob. However, we still changed the car's battery and headed back to KL after lunch wt grandma. The only person who had the priviledge to post wt grandma was baby Alyana. So we r looking at a picture of the oldest & youngest generation of the Syed Abdullah Idid's family.

8pm, we entered the house just to discover that our house has been broke-in. i was with my kids from my mom's house breakfasting as usual. upon opening the grill. i was surpirsed to see that the house was in a mess. the console drawer was being left opened and when i looked at the stairs where i put my handbag...it wasnt there. my heart was pounding fast and i started to shiver..i quickly climbed the stairs and looked up ..n there it was..my purse n other things were lying all over the place. i feared that the burglar/s was still in so ididnt proceed further up. i ran out to call shah and amree n they came wth long sticks. we went upstairs and found out all the rooms was in a mess. we headed down n went to the kitchen and that was when we knew, the burglars came in via the back door. the wood door was forcely pushed and the lock at the grill was cut.
i quickly dialed 999 and police came around 930pm. they took a report and jotted down the missing items. i found out that all my cash in the purse was gone as well as our jewelleries kept in our master bedroom. other valuable items were stolen too.
dalam hatiku berkata, mungkin ini dugaan Allah buat kami sekeluarga dan aku redha n pasrah dengan ketentuannya. Syukur kupanjatkan ke hadrat Illahi kerana pencuri masuk sewaktu ketiadaanku dan anak2 d rumah. Alhamdulillah.
i had to take leave today to settle with the reporting thingy at the police station. pik just arrived at 5 this morning. thats all for now, i m feeling weak and still shocked.

Discharge from DSH

Alhamdulillah after 4 long days, Alyana is finally discharged from DSH. The pus from hear ears stopped coming out right after the 1st jab of antibiotics given to her. Today she had her 5th dose of antibiotics thru IV, the most painful.... From tomorrow onwards she will be taking oral antibiotics & followed by check-ups with dr. musa (paeditrician) and dr. awal (ent) on the 1st Oct. Because of the "home leave" option given to us, the mosquitoes at home just couldn't resist biting Alyana all over her face. Note the red spots on her cheeks. All in all it costs us RM33xx.xx. 80% paid by Bank and 20% will be deducted thru my salary....muahahahha......

I like to thanks MASK for their "doa" and well wishers. Syukur Alhamdulillah.........

Admission to DSH

After a week of taking the 3rd type of antibiotics, bby Alyana's ear was still oozing with pus. Ear drop was also given but unfortunately it doesn't seem to kill the virus in her middle ear. So i took half day's leave to bring her again to see the paeditrician at Dsara Specialist Hosp. I was the first walk-in patient arriving at 8am but only got to see doc at 9.40am. Bby's second bottle of milk was almost finish by then. Due to prolong ear infection, doc decided tht she has to be treated immediately ...... and so he declared ADMISSION!!! I wasn't prepared for a stay at the ward at all. I was thinking ...... this is Ramadhan, my older kids r fasting, sahur? & my cookies project!!!!! I thought for a while and then decided to accept wht has been fated..... Told myself tht i'll settle my baby's health first then proceed wt my baking.

So am supposed to be sleeping in the hospital tonite BUT am not there coz....firstly at 12pm, there was no room ( i was so happy to hear abt it but doc still insisted on a room for me!!), secondly, at 1pm (was at home baking while bby was sleeping) thy called to say tht there's a room for me but a patient is still there, thirdly at 3pm ( was at the hosp with the ENT) i was told the room has not been made up yet!! So i left the hosp wt the promise tht i'll check-in once thy call to tell me tht the room is ready. Hosp called me at 8.38pm but i missed the call!!!! At tht time i made my decision to come in tomorow right after i send the kids to school. So i'll see wht doc has to say to me tomorrow.....

I was told by the ENT tht the 2nd floor is under renovation so tht is why there is a shortage of rooms. While i was waiting, i heard so many others wanting to get rooms but was told thy were full. At tht time i thought....wow...so many sicky in Ramadhan. Tht is why bby had her IV inserted at the emergency room. Doc is now giving her a stronger antibiotics tht has to be injected daily & also the ENT will need to clean her middle ear of pus daily. Of course bby cried whn IV was inserted but doc commented tht this bby is very strong!!!! First insertion on the right hand failed! Doc did again on her left hand successfully. Aft tht bby seems fine. So gals, pls pray so that baby Alyana will recover frm her ear infection ths time.

She was with me whn i went to the taska to collect the kids school bags and all the kakaks who took care of her kissed & hugged her wt pitiness. Even tok mami felt pity for her this time. It is indeed a pity sight looking at her hand like tht and almost everyone who saw her at the hosp as well as at the condo just had to ask WHAT HAPPENED. This is my FIRST experience relating to ear infection as well as child admission to the hosp.

Tday is my third day of baking & i decided to do some biscuits for my London Almond orders . A big difference on baking this year as i now have a baby who wants to help out as well. Went to Iju's hse in the afternoon tday as we both went to visit Husna who just delivered a bby boy .. Rifki (correction Rifqy)who has been mistakenly called by the own father as Rafik!! Too bad none of us brought our digital camera. So Alyana who is 4mths & 2wks hv excitedly decided to pose for this posting. TQ matey for the use of the mattress, kain lampin & some hot water for her milk. Thanks to Qiha too who is not fasting tday as her mama didn't wake up for the family members to hv their sahur!! Alisya couldn't control herself & decided to break her fast for the day! But Zakhwan has decided to cnue fasting. Bravo Z! Alhamdulillah Azalea managed to complete her fasting tday despite making noise over the urge of quenching her thirst. From Iju's place, we dropped by Ibu's place and reached home at 5pm. Managed to prepare some simple dishes for berbuka & then proceeded wt baking. Oh ya... also a most recent pic of Saby who LOVES babies!

Alhamdulillah i manage to start my first batch of baking today with the help of Azalea & Alisya. I wanted to warm up after almost a year of non-baking. My honourable assistant will only check in for work next Friday. So meanwhile the help of my 2 elder girls proved to be of great goodness especially with a baby seeking mama's attention. Oops...i hear the sound of oven alarm clock meaning another tray is ready for packing.

2 sept 2007 - piercy piercy

qihah did ear-piercing that sunday evening. it wasnt planned at all ... when i saw the stall with the signage "tindik telinga RM10"..terus tergerak hati nak do it for her. se didnt rejected and willingly sat on the chair for the piercing. the first shot...OMG..she cried like nobody business..and i had to calm and held her tight in my arms. sambil jerit sakit she said she doesnt wanna continue..elemek!! takkan pierce sblh jek kan..kenelah mama pujuk bagai nak rak..baru she calmed down and ready for the 2nd one. alhamdulillah..so..anak dara aku dah bertindik telinga...so sweet :)

Hi gals. This is my first entry since our blog launched last year. I'm finally getting the hang of this whole blogging thing. Ok. As promised, the second part of the adventure trip will be covered by me. So, here goes. Reminiscing on the trip, i have come to realize the true value of friendship. It was an exhausting yet a novel experience for me going on this trip. I was looking forward to snorkelling and island hopping and so many more activities that the whole package came with.

The first day on the island, we got a little adventurous in scouting for the perfect place to swim. So, we climbed a few rocks and strolled along wooden planks to get to our so called paradise...true enough..we found it. The water is greeny blue...plenty of sand..great scenery. Getting there was a true test of my fitness and I think everyone knows how fit I am la kan. The second day was unexpected. We went to the other side of the island via speed boat to snorkel. Cher and I snorkelled toward a group of youngsters a feet away from where we were. As the bottom of the sea seemed deeper, the corals glittered...and that fascinated both of us. We were pointing at corals and multicolored small fishes..both too eager to see more...and none realizing how far we had gone off from the beach. And when we did, that was when I was overwhelmed with panic. We tried to swim back. It didn't seem like we were moving. I was desperate..swallowed too much salt water...gasping for air. I alerted Cher. Told her that it was hard for me to breathe. If we didn't have our life jackets on, I think I'd have drowned. Cher urged me to go on.. giving my leg a push. She gave me no excuse to give up...encouraging me to go on and pushing me towards the beach. I had hoped so much at that moment that this was the day I would look back upon and reminisce..and I am glad that it is. I know Allah determines our fate..but I had an angel swimming right beside me that day. When we reached the shore, we got word that we had to walk to another side of the island because the boat could not dock at the beach. So we walked up and down the hills..which seemed like mountains.. my chest felt like it could actually burst. But I amazed myself. Masih tak serik tu, we snorkelled some more.
That nite proved to be one of the most painful nites in all my life. I vomitted dinner..didn't touch the barbeque..on top of that.. my body felt like a worn out piece of junk. The whole of my body ached. My arms felt like they could have fallen off at any time. Cher was again my saviour. She kneaded my aching muscles for at least a good half hour. I fell sound asleep..feeling very refreshed and alive the next morning. The rest is history.
I had a great time. Something I will treasure and look back with a big smile. Not all trips can be a great one. What's important in any trip is the company ... the people you are surrounded by. It makes all the difference.
To you my dearest Shariffah...I am indebted to you. Thank you for saving my life.

Merdeka weekend at Pulau Pemanggil, Mersing

On 30th Aug recently, me & Jija including Azalea & Alisya went on a "back to nature" trip to Pulau Pemanggil, Mersing, Johor. Our first impression of the trip was a simple getaway from the hustle bustle of the city and to experience snorkelling for the first time. True enough we had our first experience of snorkelling but we were definitely caught offguard of the strong current and where it could bring us. I'd like to pass the honour of sharing & blogging our experience at sea to Jija. However the trophy of excellency, courage, determination, strong-will & high-spirit will have to go to Jija who has proven to be so! No words could describe how proud i am to see Jija going thru each day at the island by taking part in all the activities & walking up & down the steep staircases of the resort. It was indeed a test of endurance and Jija passed it with flying colours. Congratulations dear......

The invitation of a 3 days 2 nites package at RM300 per adult & RM218 per child came from GG of MNIOneline. The resort belongs to one of her colleogue's husband. Since Nazri couldn't join us as 7-11 will be hoarded with millions of M'sians celebrating Merdeka & he had to be around, i've decided to leave Alyana to the care of her Ibu & Ayah. As we took our first ferry ride of one & a half hours thru the rough sea, i was thankful i made the right decision of leaving Alyana behind. We finally reached Lanting Beach Resort and as i climbed the first few steep steps of it, again i was thankful i made the decision to leave the bby behind. A resort was magnificently built thru the natural forests & mountains. Food was served buffet style with abundance. Snorkeling gears including life jackets were rented at RM15 for 3 days. All sorts of room sizes were available with & without attached bathroom. Antiques exhibits surrounded the whole resort. So called 7-11 was there too. After dinner, the dining hall changes into a karaoke lounge with people playing games of carroms & congkaks anywhere they like. A small tv was there too for people like me who doesn't karaoke. Table tennis was just outside of GG's family room of 8 beds. Mine & Jija's secluded LH5 room with no bathroom was turned into a chimney pot for those in need.

For Jija who wanted an even tone on her face got her wish but on a darker side. For myself who wanted a tan, i got it too but on a redder side. Our island hopping turned out to be hopping by speed boat to the first island & hopping on feet to the next island & the next island and finally back to the resort by a big boat. After swimming against the waves to get back to the shore with strikes of panicky & "semput", swallowing of salt water thru the mouth & nose unwantingly, our second day at the island was the most adventurous of all. Bio langsing lotion together with minyak gamat & panadols & ponstans after vomiting with peaceful nite sleep brought Jija back to life!!!! Finally syukur Alhamdulillah we made it thru together successfully & ALIVE.

Hari Wanita

25th Aug 2007 was the official celebration of "Hari Wanita peringkat kebangsaan". It was held at Stadium Putra, Bkt. Jalil and was officially launched by M'sia's 5th Prime Minister, fondly known as Pak Lah. Accompanying him was his wife, Datin Seri Jeanne and the Minister of Women, Family & Community Development, Dato' Sri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil. It was an auspicious & wonderful celebration for women coming from all walks of life especially the "kampungs". I and 14 others were selected to represent Kumpulan Bank Pembangunan. Entering the stadium by invitation, each of us was given a coupon for goodies which consisted of food stuffs, roll-on deodorant, long-sleeve t-shirt, a flag, a clapper .... all stuffed into a handy bag. As if that wasn't enough to attract women of M'sia, we were entertained by famous M'sian artists such as M.Nasir, Amy Search, Koperatasa, Anita Sarawak, Khaty Ibrahim, Noryn Aziz & the most famous of all was Anuar Zain. Being a bachelor, most "makciks" took the opportunity to get on stage to hug, kiss & dance with him!!!! Indeed all their voices are powerful and i was enchanted by their strong vocals. There were 3 other commercial singers who sang the official Hari Wanita song & a malay version of the Celine Dion's I'm alive song. I searched for it in the net but couldn't find it. Emcee for the day was none other than the talented Aznil Hj Nawawi. A big round of applause must be given to the multimedia experts of the ministry for the very interesting laser launching. Although i was worried of the kids being left at home with their daddy, but i still managed to enjoy myself. I arrived home at 7pm and continued my duty as a wife & mother. .. This year's Hari Wanita slogan is ... WANITA NADI NEGARA.

Note: Hari Wanita was first celebrated in yr 2000 and it has been carrying slogans like 2000-Nur Bermula DenganMu, 2001-Nur Kesaksamaan Gender, 2002-Nur memupuk generasi berilmu, 2003-Nur bersama mengukir keunggulan, 2004-Nur memupuk kemakmuran ekonomi, 2005-Memupuk generasi Berkualiti, 2006- Kesaksamann gender rakyat sejahtera.

hey gals...

am now in lukhman's room.he set-up a hotspot in the house...canggih tak canggih huh!!..should advised him to open cyber cafe ler camni ek. so apa lagi..with the internet connected, i pun amik kesempatan posting to our blog ler.

twins just slept downstairs...they've been running around the house with their cousins since the day we arrived (friday nite). rafik is currently watching "Bourne Ultimate" sequence from "Bourne Identity"starring Matt Damon.the air was hot and it makes me sleepy addition to the delicious asam pedas ikan parang we had for lunch. we'll try to spot for the sweet yummy cendol again later today..yesterdy was a dissapointment coz the stall was closed. we usually favored for the roti kukus in KLuang railway station but we'll skip that one this time around.

rafik says we shall head to KL after asar...i'm ok with that but i like..ehm.. favor more for after maghrib. i m predicting heavy trafic along PLUS hiway...as we are ALL AWARE...people will be rushing back to KL continuing their normal life, schooling and working after 1 whole week of schl hols eh!...

oh yes..just an update, visited anis n nashwan at gleneagles last friday. hope nashwan has recovered now from the mild fever. and anis...hold-on there and be strong ..being a mom of 3 without ur hubby always around, heavy-duty eh but i believe u'll handle it well.
